Lifter ticking will vary with different cars, the course you're on, and the aggressiveness of the driver. On street tires you may not encounter a problem at all. I'd start the event with the oil level at the full mark on the dipstick. If your lifters tick following a run, add a half-quart. If they tick again after your next run, add the other half. I've never heard of a full extra quart not curing the problem. I've put 35,000 miles on mine all with an extra quart in the crankcase and I know many others who've done the same with no ill effects. PTG says our motors will handle up to 2 extra quarts with no problem so I'm confident 1 quart extra is acceptable for full time use. >What is the proper lug nut torque? Long right handers will starve the car for fuel with less than ~1/2 a tank. There's hardly ever a turn long enough to make this happen on an autocross course. The car is still balanced enough where you'll get good traction with a light fuel load and lighter is better in autocross. At the track, not only do you want to avoid fuel starvation, but you want to avoid running low and paying track prices for fuel. Fill up in the morning and at lunchtime outside the track. -- Ron Katona

Well, in went the blade in each hole, which I tried, but in stayed the foglight too, no matter how I 'jimmied' it. What am I doing wrong? I would hope it can be removed this way, instead of removing the wheel well liner or splash panel to gain access. He says it is difficult to see so you just need to feel around for it.
