Date: Thu, 08 Jun 2000 14:32:46 -0500 From: "Jeff Kumler" <jdkumler@comdisco.com> Subject: Tire question? I am in need of new front tires and am debating on wether or not to up size to 235/45-17's. Does anyone see any problems with that? I would be leaving the rears at 245/40/17's. The car is a '96 with staggered M-Contours (sp?). Thanks in advance for your help (man I hate that saying ;)). Date: Thu, 8 Jun 2000 12:42:45 -0700 (PDT) From: John <m3john@yahoo.com> Subject: Last free oil maintenance check My car is about to get its last free oil change (25,000 miles), besides an oil change, can anyone recommend what else I need to do? I plan on: - Change my oil. - Change my gear oil (again, from redline to redline, 75W90) - Change my diff oil (again, from redline to redline, ATF) and before the 40,000 miles: - radiator flush? (have not done this since I bought the car new) - brake flush? (have not done this since I bought the car new) Any other suggestions? Please send email me privately so I won't waste bandwidth unless others in my situation wanted to know also. You might want to think about doing the brake fluid annually from here on out too. #4. 3M Tape - from Hunt Hodgetts

Date: Thu, 8 Jun 2000 13:08:08 -0700 (PDT) From: Hunt Hodgetts <hhodgetts@yahoo.com> Subject: 3M Tape Months ago there was a thread about 3M film designed to protect the paint on your M3 (or any other car). Several companies sell kits for around $300 or you can buy the film uncut and do it yourself for much less. List member Greg Fuller obtained a videotape that covers installation of both the precut kits and how to cut a kit yourelf from the bulk film. He loaned me the tape for the purposes of making a copy and before I return it I wanted to know if any other members would like a copy. Tape/envelope/and postage costs are $6. Since so many of you have taken your time to answer my questions, I'll donate my copy time for free. Hunt __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
