They break for Formula 1 qualifying for an hour and a half, doesn't get any better than this. :-) Carlos. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! I understood that you could use either the factory stagger (225/45 + 245/40) or the same size (say 235/40 all around), but not a varient stagger. Is this not the case? -Paul E. 97 M3/2

They really don't dust any less than factory pads, and most importantly, they have no bite and fade very quickly after a couple of hot laps. (yes, I know they are not track pads). But hey, they were cheap! ....If anyone want's a set of PBR Deluxe pads (fronts only) with less than 2000 miles, let me know... Sooo....I just installed a set of the EBC Green pads all the way around, and so far they are awesome. I was looking under my car today while changing the oil and noticed that the lower control arm looks different on the LTW than my other M3. It looks like the one that came on the E30 EVOII M3. Does anybody know if the LTWs recieved a different control arm? Or can somebody else email me a picture of the one on their car? Seth Thomas www.m3power.com www.m3ltw.com

I've had them for about 4000 miles and am not impressed with them. They leave residue on the rotors (brand new euro floaters front and new stock rears) that shudders under hard braking sometimes. I never had this problem with the metal masters. I was thinking about installing metalmasters again but I just ordered a Brembo front kit with Pagid 4 2 pads. I'm waiting for the new Brembo rear kits that should be out soon too. Bottom line - For less dust, go with metal masters. YMMV of course. -Bobby '98 M3 ----- Original Message ----- > > Sooo....I just installed a set of the EBC Green pads all the way around, and > so far they are awesome. > > Chris Gant > ESP 95 M3 >

Anyway i was wondering if anyone has compiled a list of do-it-yourself type mods for the car ie. weight reduction, little tweaks etc. I'm basically a tinkerer (if that's a word) and am looking for stuff that has already been done. ~Thanks a lot

In a Non intercooled Supercharger application, does warm air temperature have a bigger negative impact than on the same car with Normal Aspiration? There is no accurate "formula".. Even the SAE HP change formula is merely a complete "approximation" of air density effects related to Air Temp, Humidity, and Pressure on "effective cylinder charge".. hence BMEP.. hence Torque.. hence HP ;) Sensitivity of an engines power to intake temp is best characterized by experimental work on a dyno. #10. More X-brace stuff - from RonStygar@aol.com
Top
Date: Sun, 11 Jun 2000 21:14:51 EDT From: RonStygar@aol.com Subject: More X-brace stuff On the parts CD, the X-brace parts show up under group 41 bodywork. On the newer parts CD's, for the E36 convertible, they also show up under group 51 vehicle trim. Under group 51 it shows a left and right reinforcement for the rear X-brace mounting points. It also shows a toothed washer. The parts diagram shows the reinforcement below the X-brace and the toothed washer between the X-brace and the car body. I ordered the reinforcements and washers for both of my cars. Last week I was informed that the toothed washer is no longer available. Saturday I checked out the reinforcements on a X-brace someone brought over to install. The reinforcements do not fit below the X-brace. They fit fine between the top of the X-brace and car body though. Tonight, I installed them on my M coupe. For a look see, connect to Dales image page: http://www.unofficialbmw.com/images/ and check out x-brace-epc, x-brace-r, r1 & r2.jpg Will check out an E36 convertible (My machinist's daughter recently purchased one) to see if the reinforcements are present, and if so, how they are mounted.
