Bret, I also have a '95 M3 with all the manuals and speed sensitive volume adjustment is not described in any of them. If you learn that this feature is present in our cars, please pass the info my way. TIA, alex

One thing that I thought it should've come with is the washers and nuts. You need to get those on your own. Shifting seems a bit more precise now. -Bobby ----- Original Message ----- > > Hi all, > > Where would I be able to order a 320i tranny mount? #3. Loose adjuster on Lower Control Arm - from Junaidi Irwan

Date: 20 Jun 00 14:40:09 CDT From: Junaidi Irwan <junaidi.irwan@usa.net> Subject: Loose adjuster on Lower Control Arm Digesters, I replaced my factory Rear Shockmount with JTD RSM this past weekend. It is a pretty nice design IMO. One thing that I think they need improvement with is the nuts that are supposed to be attached to the tower. Cause pretty much you can turn it if you are not careful with them. However, I still got this annoying thunking/thumping noise that I thought would go away after I replaced the RSM. I brought my car in this morning to Knauz BMW in IL to get it checked. I just heard from the service guy that the right lower Control Arm is loose. When I asked where did it loose, the service guy told me that it got loose at the adjuster. The thing is that they are gonna charge me $129 just to tighten the control arm up!!! They told me it's because it is rusted and they need to break it loose then tighten it up. My question is, is this charge reasonable? Is this a DIY job? I replaced the RSM by myself. Thanks for any suggestions, - Junaidi - 95 ///M3 ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.amexmail.com/?A=1

Date: Tue, 20 Jun 2000 12:54:08 PDT From: "Scott S" <smstiles@hotmail.com> Subject: JimC intake FS in Seattle area I have a JimC intake for sale from my now departed '99 M3. It was used for a total of about a month. It's in excellent shape, with the exception of one of the metal clips is "loose" (the clips that hold the intake pipe to the MAF). Anyone in the Seattle area interested? I'm lazy, so I'd prefer a local buyer. Make me an offer, it's just sitting in (a box) in the garage collecting dust. In the 20,000 miles I've driven the car it's only happened three times. When it happens, #1 it killed my time at the autocrosses,#2 a really screwed up sound and jolt. I don't think three times is enough to be really worried but I'm getting the TME for the potential missed shift. I read in the BMP catalog (for their beautiful looking, shiny red mount) that enough torque could pop the gear out. Thought it might be the case with me. Not great-just ok. My biggest gripe is that with the >hi-fi >setting off it sounds reduced in frequency response and with it on solo >singers >wander around the car. Ken Robb the hk system sounds a tiny bit better. again, certainly not enough to justify it's cost. don't they charge you like $1000 for it? for $1000 you could replace the whole thing with a good sounding system. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
