Public letter to idiots: What do you guys do to be able to afford ANY car? This is basic business. Think about what you are doing. Think about WHY IN THE HELL THESE GUYS MAKE THESE DEALS. If someone usually sells something for $400 and they agree to sell them for a 25% discount, maybe, just maybe, they need to sell VOLUME to make it worth their trouble. And then when the first vendor finds out that there is another deal from the E36M3 group with their competition they don't exactly have nice thoughts about the person who set the deal up with them. Try this crap with your present employer. I bet you can get a more in depth explanation from them. Right before they boot your sorry ass. He drives away and I see him about 20 minutes later and he asked me if anyone had done any work on the car lately. I said no. And he replied that my oxygen sensor had come loose and caused the hole in the exhaust. A replied as a matter of fact I had just replaced it myself about two weeks ago. I've been with a loaner E46 since Monday...man, it feels good to be back with my baby! So the rattling that I heard when blipping the throttle was, indeed, a broken VANOS adjuster (or something like that). I asked the service rep how much it would cost if it wasn't covered under warranty (I have 21k miles and the car is 2 years old....was thinking about extended warranties and stuff) and was told that it would probably be a $500 job ($300 parts). YIKES! Anyway, the car pulls hard and is a pleasure once again to rev! YIPPIE! The person who told me that his dealer said that it was normal and just live with it, I would suggest that you find a new dealer....especially if it is covered under warranty! ttyl, Chester ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
