I just signed up for $1.40 a gallon at my usual station. It seems too good to be true. Whats the deal? This is 93 octane too. Just wondering. I figure it can't hurt anyway. If anyone else has tried it let me know how it went.>>> I have used the Priceline gas card a couple of times, but just noticed that they will start charging a $3 monthly fee after 90 days. I'm just gonna stick with my Chase Bank Shell Mastercard which gives me 5% off of Shell gas without any limits. After taking into account this 5% rebate, Priceline prices don't look so great. I think they replaced the regulator parts, but not positive. Call a couple of Alpine service centers and see if any of them have seen this - I hear it is pretty common. Your dealer or mechanic probably knows a service place also. I don't have any DIY info though.... Ted Message text written by E36M3 >joedyer@home.com< Hello, all, Is there somebody out there who might have a surplus stock 95 M3 CD changer they might wish to get rid of for a fair price? Mine continues to Eject its cartridge at random when starting the engine. Or, does somebody know how to fix this problem? Joe Dyer 95 BMW M3 SF Bay Area

I assume by Matt's comment about better turn in that Bob's -.20 degrees meant toe out. Is this assumption correct? Thanks. #4. Correction to procedure for installing clutch pedal - from Chester Wong

Date: Mon, 14 Aug 2000 07:34:11 -0700 (PDT) From: Chester Wong <chester_p_wong@yahoo.com> Subject: Correction to procedure for installing clutch pedal Hi guys. Well apparently I reinstalled the modified clutch pedal the more difficult way. The only reference I had was Ron's old writeup which outlined safety-wiring the return spring in order to insert the supporting pins. However, if you leave the starter switch and brake switch brackets off, you can just secure the clutch pedal from the top pivot and then install the spring easily. You can then use the leverage from the clutch pedal to compress the spring enough to attach the clutch cylinder. Once that's done, you reattach the two switches and associated brackets and you're done... DOH! I just wanted to clarify things so the next lister to install it doesn't get scared. I believe Stephen Lafredo and Wayne Miller are working on a writeup that will outline the procedure. Thanks for the bandwidth, Chester ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail – Free email you can access from anywhere! http://mail.yahoo.com/

I just tried the Grocery service and was pretty impressed. I picked out the groceries online, went to the store, worked off my list and checked out. The bill in the store came to $45.00--I paid $26.76 online. Not sure about yours, but my M3 uses gasoline, so I was interested to learn of a way to reduce my fuel costs. >> Let's here some feedback on the gas service. > > No, let's NOT. Date: Mon, 14 Aug 2000 09:37:30 -0700 (PDT) From: Matt Henson <hensonator@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: [E36M3] Hunter alignment and question Carlos, Yes, it can be confusing. Usually people specify the sign and magnitude of the alignement ".1 degrees of toe-out" rather than use negative numbers. But sometimes someone will say "-.1deg toe-in" which is really the same thing. Camber is less confusing because everyone runs negative camber. But of course some people run toe-out so it helps to be specific. Also, you have to know if someone is talking about toe per side (more common) or total-toe ( less common but really more applicable). Like I said, I like .1 degrees toe-in per side. 0 Toe might be okay but in most cases toe-out will be a little too interesting at speed, IMO. -Matt --- Carlos Lopez <clopez95m3@yahoo.com> wrote: > Date: Mon, 14 Aug 2000 06:59:51 -0700 (PDT) > From: Carlos Lopez <clopez95m3@yahoo.com> > Subject: Re: [E36M3] Hunter alignment and question > > Matt wrote about his alignment: > >Front: > >Toe-In : .1 degrees per side, .2 total > >Camber : -2 > > >Rear: > >Toe-in : .1 per side > >Cabmer: -1.75 > > >I'm running Eibachs and Biltsteins, stock sways. > Your > >alignment is definatly better for turn-in in > >autocross. > > Bob Gill wrote about his: > >> Front settings: added the SAE shim washers, > changing > >> the camber from -0.4 > >> degrees to -1.1 degrees. Well, since you asked.... If you remember a while back (if you were around then), Sue Kraft (the list owner) asked for volunteers to help moderate the list. Well guess what, I volunteered, and she said OK. If you have an issue with it, by all means complain about me to her. Regards, Nick '95 M3
