Well, it's normal assuming you corner hard while driving it (& who doesn't?) :-) Now, if one tire wears significantly faster than the other, have a good alignment shop check it out. Toe may be off there. (This is what happened to mine) Good luck. I have a question about tread wear. I bought my M3 new is '99 and after about 12,000 miles I notice the tread wear on the tires. The tread wear is front and on outer part of the tire only. The tread wear are uneven one higher and one lower. Now is starting to make chopping noise. The car is all stock, and I kept my tire at 32 psi in front and 35 in rear. Can someone please tell me what could cause this or is it normal on M3.

Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2000 14:31:07 EDT From: Jzy308@aol.com Subject: air bag recall Very interesting. I just paid the stealer $3,500 to replace oil pan, passenger's side door airbag, etc., when it deployed after I ran over a large rock on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Will see him tomorrow. My records indicate side airbag recall was effected March 2000, but I wonder if this recent occurance indicates it might not have been done correctly. Any suggestions how I might proceed? many many thanks carl sewell '98 M3/4
