Re: >Can someone please tell me how to take out the acc. pedal? > >I've gotten the top free, but can't figure out the bottom. > There's a little plastic clip at the base. If I remember correctly, it expands _outwards_ (towards the front of the car_ when installed, and locks the pedal in place. So you need to "crimp" it back together to get the pedal out. In the installed state, it's kind of like a "V" when viewed from the side of the car, and what you need to do is pinch the top of the V (you'll feel / hear a click when you succeed) so that the plastic barbs on the part disengage from the car body and let you remove the pedal. -- ______________________________________ Andrew E. #3. Jacking up a 95 M3 - from Bora Akyol

Date: Thu, 31 Aug 2000 17:45:10 -0700 From: Bora Akyol <akyol@pluris.com> Subject: Jacking up a 95 M3 This was being discussed a few days ago, but I did not quite understand where exactly to jackup the car. I currently own two jackstands and a hydraulic jack. I would like to be able to jack the car up and then slide in the jackstands so that I can work on the car. Where are the best points to do this? I looked at the owner's manual and bentley but they only show the side jacking points which I can not use with my hydraulic jack. Thanks Bora

(and that's 1 day events, i hope you din't mean 30 two day events) 30,000 miles... that's more then my street tires last, much less race tires... in order to be going as fast as possible around a track you MUST be sliding. 5-6 degrees of sliding in fact. if you're not sliding you're not going as fast as possible. and if you're spending 100 miles sliding your tires, they're not going to last 30,000 miles...
