#1. Great Tool - from Jim.Millet@intermec.com
Top
Date: Fri, 1 Sep 2000 10:52:35 -0700 From: Jim.Millet@intermec.com Subject: Great Tool After several years of breaking my back putting on and taking off track wheels and tires, I recently discovered a great back saving tool buried on Steve D's Ultimate Garage website. He's got a stainless steel wheel installation guide tool that allows you to slide those heavy 17 inch wheels and fat track tires on with ease. Steve's heavy duty tool takes the place of that totally useless BMW wheel mounting tool found in your trunk lid tool tray. Ron Stygar's got a detailed write-up on Steve's tool (don't even think about it) at: http://www.unofficialbmw.com/all/wheels/all_wheel_dismount_mount.html Usual disclaimers apply. YMMV Jim Millet 1995 M3, Hellrot, Sharked and more.

As long as they do all the Inspection II stuff you should be OK. And it's pretty good that they're including the brake fluid flush - that's a 2-year maintenence item. > Also, even though the factory fluid would be free, is it worth > considering > the ATE Super Blue brake fluid instead? I think for the kind of use most of us put our cars through, you should go with the Super Blue, and it should be flushed a bit more regularly than every 2 years, IMO. Typically, I change mine every 1-3 track events. As for SS lines, that seems to be the last brake system upgrade most people do (well, me anyway :-)). Super Blue, track pads, then SS lines. > Thanks, as always, for any advice. You're welcome. Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 - almost 2 years old, 65,000+ miles. Wheee! :-)

I replaced the box, and the difference was noticable, and very enjoyable. :) and it sounds good too. Also, I chipped my M3 with a "regular" JC chip before I had the $$$ to get the Euro box, and I dealt with Doug at Turner both times. He didn't have any objections to giving me a credit on the original chip so I wouldn't have to pay twice. I've been really happy with TMS for every purchase I have made through them. They even answer my e-mailed questions. Just my $0.02, -jeff
