#3. Tires - from ENF
Top
Date: Fri, 1 Sep 2000 21:51:14 -0400 From: "ENF" <enf@iglou.com> Subject: Tires I'm new to the list so forgive me if I haven't got this down. I have a 97 M3 sedan, just now put 16K miles on it. I saw I had a low rear tire so I checked the pressure and added some air. So then I checked the others, here's my problem when I adjusted the air pressure I didn't take into account the tires were hot. As I drove away I now have a terrible side to side shake in the car (that wasn't there before). It is truely terrible, I need new tires as it is (they are original) but in the mean time how do I get this back to driving somewhat normal. My only option seems to be to play with the pressure (currently set as recommended). Any ideas are welcome. I never thought adding air to a tire could cause so much disruption. Also, is there any place that the Michelin SX's (MXXX) are still available? Thanks Ed Frank direct replies also welcome enf@iglou.com

Thank you Jonathan, for defending my dignity. Although my actual job is Team Manager (more of a pit mom), I'd still help you install your brake lines. I want to thank Rich Dorffer for a clean and honest transaction. Rich advertised a set of M3 Motorsport wheels on the list last week of so. I bought one of the wheels and am fully satisfied. The wheel was as advertised and arrived quickly and safely.
