So yes headlight washers were available here in the U.S. but not as a regular "check the box" type option. My cost for the factory option was just under $300. To install it yourself would probably double that price. What are the advantages? -5L washer fluid tank -manually programmable wiper feature (which can be done separately anyway) -the actual cleaning of your headlights - and yes it does work quite well. OLD R1s were great driver school tires. it's the g-force R1s that suck. if you can somehow get old R1s, go for it, they rule! second off... for driver schools i think the yokos are the best choice. definetly not the best performance, but they're pretty forgiving (for a track tire) and they're the only one that's the right size. (the toyos and khumos are both taller which at best causes more sidewall roll, and at worst causes rubbing) third off... yes the hoosier (and the goodyear gscs) are the "best" performing tires. but for non-competitive events i don't think they're worth it. not only are they way more expensive, they last half as long. and are also very fragile. one "off track", or one sharp rock, or one brake lock up, and they're pretty much toasted. yokos, khumos, and toyos are MUCH more sturdy. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. I don't have an answer but I'd be interested to hear if you find something. I'd only heard the starvation problem talked about briefly in the past but never thought much of it. This weekend, however, I learned rather quickly what people were complaining about. At WSIR I was coming out of turn 2 and had to check to see if my traction control was still on. This was with just over a quarter tank and it had gotten so bad after a few laps that I really thought I'd accidentally bumped the ignition key off. At least it saved my brakes for the next turn. ;-) Could this cause any internal damage or is it just REALLY annoying? Jonathan L.
