#1. [E36M3] E36M3 - from ENF

The service dept. claims it's the gas cap. That would be fine except today it came on and the gas cap hadn't been touched in days. Any experiences that I could read about may be helpful. I have heard that it may be an O2 sensor. So, please feel free to send any information my way, I'm hoping this isn't one of those things I have to "live" with. Thanks in advance, Ed Frank 97 M3 Sedan enf@iglou.com

Hunter asked me to post this to the list since he is no longer a member: Gang, Can anyone tell me what the effective spring rates at the wheels front and rear are for the E36 M3/4? This would be exlcuding the anti roll bars. If they're progressive, then how about the effective rates at static ride height? Please email privately if desired at hjohnson@dbmail.debis.de. Thanks in advance, Hunter ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - Free email you can access from anywhere! http://mail.yahoo.com/

The Snell 90+ helmet is required, but do most people bring along their gloves or nomex suits too? Also, what do you recommend for footwear? - Markus

You could probably sell a '95 Hyundai for $30K in San Francisco. I dream of the days when I could spend $150 for a 2 day driver's school in Seattle. Around here, I have to enter a lottery to get in, and then they want $470 for the class! Hmm, I wonder whether it would be cheaper to fly to Seattle and rent a racecar for a day ... Can I borrow yours Sean? <veg> drew | 98M3/4 with A032R's rotting away in the closet >Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2000 17:58:57 -0700 >From: Bora Akyol <akyol@pluris.com> >Subject: Re: [E36M3] E36 prices >Just to add fuel to the fire, >even 95 M3s (in excellent shape) are going around 29-30K around SF/Bay > >Area. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. An M is for motorcycle. > but do most people bring along their gloves or nomex suits too? > Also, what do you recommend for footwear? You really don't need any special racing clothing for a driving school. If you already have the gloves or shoes, you might want to bring 'em. If not, don't go out and buy them for the first several schools. Comfortable sneakers work for me. - Rich

Date: Thu, 14 Sep 2000 13:16:32 -0400 From: "Thomas E. Tice" <tetice@worldnet.att.net> Subject: PF 90 Brake Pad Prices Hi Gang, I'm getting ready to purchase some PF 90s for track use (based on the overwhelming recommendations here). Perhaps this has been discussed before but I'm looking for the latest price information. Where can I get the best deal on these? Is there any sort of running discount to the list members? For a reference, I was quoted approx. $175 for a front pair from HMS Motorsports. Can I do significantly better than that? TIA, Tom Tice '98 M3/4 '99 540/6

Date: Thu, 14 Sep 2000 17:24:21 GMT From: "Wen Liew" <wwliew@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: [E36M3] E36 prices While at the Komen Breast Cancer drive yesterday, we were approached by not one but two people on separate occasions asking us if we were planning to sell our M3 anytime soon. It appears that M3 inventory at the local dealers here in LA is low. Since we're always looking for the "right" M3/4, we looked around the lot and saw 3 M3s. 2 were 4 doors: an Artic Silver auto and a Byzantz manual. I know this is a long shot, but, if anyone is selling or knows someone selling a M3/4 5 speed in Titanium Silver/Mulberry (very rare), Artic Silver/Mulberry or Estoril Blue/Mulberry, please send them my way. Thanks! Wen 96 M3/2 Artic Silver/Mulberry _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
