Is anyone else keeping track of how many times Suzy tells us how much work she's doing for us? I mean, I appreciate this list as much as the next person, but I've always felt that kudos are much tastier when they're unsolicited. We now return you to the sudden flurry of obligatory "Thanks for all the hard work, Suzy! You're the BEST!" emails. - Mark '95 M3 '97 528i 5-spd '88 M3, Hennarot ---- Mark Dadgar - Product Manager, Accessories (650) 230-5037 voice - (650) 230-2100 fax mdadgar@handspring.com - Handspring, Inc. I said it is EXTRA work to keep the list closed, and I do believe I did explain why I keep it closed. It is to (hopefully) make this a better list for everyone. If people don't stay on topic, there is no reason for the EXTRA work. I am not looking for thanks from anyone, I am trying to do my job. Suzy PS You are welcome to leave any time you want. I just realized (okay, with a little help) that the original post said *2* sets of rotors were ordered and one was received. Either way, let's hope it was just a simple error somewhere along the line and not some crazy UPS driver trying to make sure his delivery truck stops like an M3. BTW, I just received my floating rotors from them and the package is in good order. I never realized how nice a simple circular piece of metal could look. Now I'm really envious of all you slotted, cross-drilled and big break guys out there. ;-) I also should mention that, although the person who took my order didn't seem like the friendliest guy in town (maybe having a bad day?), I'm very pleased with the service. My first fax didn't go through in time for UPS on Wednesday so I resent it and explained that I needed this by Friday (today) and that I'd be willing to pay for expedited service. The guy (Travis, I think) said "no problem. You need 'em by Friday? You're in Cali. so if we send them out by 2nd Day tomorrow (Thursday), you should still get them Friday. We can do that for you." Worked out great and I still didn't get charged a dime for shipping... That's a lot of money saved (Thanks to Bobby for selling me his Fischer Lines also!) By mid-day tomorrow, I should have no more brake shimmy. Woo Hoo! I've heard some say that the whole procedure can be done without removing the wheels. How?? By jacking the car I assume. Also, do I bleed the clutch AFTER the brakes, or vice versa?? Do I maintain the same amount of pressure when doing the clutch?? JIM (just trying to figure it all out...........time to buy a Bentley manual!)

How?? By jacking the car I assume. Yep. Here's what I do (just finished, as a matter of fact), but feel free to do it your own way :-): - Jack up rear of car at rear subframe. - Place jack stands at rear jack pads. - Bleed RR caliper, then LR (you can get to the bleed nipple from underneath the car, behind the wheel). - Lower car. - Jack, support, and bleed RF caliper. - Same for LF. At this point you can get to the clutch bleed nipple. >Also, do I bleed the clutch AFTER the brakes, or vice versa?? Do I >maintain the same amount of pressure when doing the clutch?? I did mine after, and used the same pressure. Not much old fluid bled out, and the clutch pedal needed a lot of pumps to get back to normal - first time I pressed the pedal down, whomp!, right to the floor & stayed there. Took about 10-12 pumps to get back to normal. Good luck and have fun :-) Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 - fresh oil & brake fluid

Sounds like it is very very suspicious. Anyone notice the mirrors aren't M3 mirrors? I think this M3 has a story longer than is written on the auction. Drive the car up onto a set of 2x4's or something and turn the wheel to full lock. Bleed the appropriate side and then reverse. The rest of Jim's advice is spot-on. Although there's an interesting thread on the UUC Digest at the moment about jack stands and the factory jack point pads. #10. TC Kline Rollbar Production Status - from ERogers005@aol.com
Top
Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2000 17:52:03 EDT From: ERogers005@aol.com Subject: TC Kline Rollbar Production Status Does anyone have information on the delivery status for TC Kline's E36 M3 rollbars? I ordered mine in early May and at that time was told there was a 2 month backlog. In July I inquired on delivery status and was told the backlog was even longer perhaps as long as 4 months. Their fabricator cannot keep up with the demand and they were looking for another party to assist them (while meeting the same production standards). Since then all my inquiries to TC Kline have gone unanswered. Is any other lister in the same situation? Anyone have some accurate information? Thanks Ed Rogers 95 M3
