#1. DME/overrev question - from John Van Houten
Top
Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2000 09:55:55 -0500 From: "John Van Houten" <jvanhouten@ix.netcom.com> Subject: DME/overrev question I know that the DME records when an overrev occurs. How is this read? Can I simply take the DME to the dealer or does it have to be sent to NJ? Does it record when the overrev occured and how accurately (time, rpm, etc.)? TIA John

I know a few people that have run in the A group with street tires... C'mon, if things get sketchy, use them big ol' Brembos. ;-) (yes, I know... us novices have no room to talk). Hey, as for me looking soft, the summer, and all of it's accompanying extra work/requirements, is over as far as I'm concerned... I'm in a transitional phase. I did a search using the google.com search engine for my county, San Luis Obispo Ca. Under the results I searched for 'hazardous waste disposal.' There was a link to the county disposal facility with their requirements. Easy! As a caveat, it is illegal as h*ll to mix wastes and dispose of them. It's dangerous, unnecessary and creates bad karma. Mike '95 M3 da kar is yellow

I think you end up contaminating the used oil, making it useless for recycling. No? Unless, of course, you don't really CARE about contaminating the recycled oil... Brake fluid is not produced from the same base materials as oil. -rb [wondering if Firestone uses recycled oil from Texas to make their tires... ;-) ] >From: "Rich Gay" <rich_gay@linbeck.com> >To: Ron Buchalski <rbuchals@hotmail.com>, E36M3 <e36m3@bmwmpower.com> >Subject: Re: [E36M3] [Q] Disposing of Used Brake Fluid >Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2000 11:24:22 -0500 > >I put it in with the used motor oil, and take it to the local <insert shop >or auto parts store here> for recycling. > > - Rich > _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2000 11:26:23 -0700 From: Marc.S.Edwards@QuestDiagnostics.com Subject: LTW forged wheel option for 1995 M3s Ben said: BMW offered a forged wheel upgrade for 1995 M3 in 7.5 all around. the LTW got the 7.5/8.5 staggered setup from the factory. ben liaw uuc motorwerks Ben; The forged LTW wheel option for the 1995 M3s was indeed a staggered wheel option with 7.5 in front and 8.5 in the back and offset ET41 for both. What made this unique in comparison with 1996+ cars and their staggered set up is that the 1995 staggered wheels came with the same size tire all the way around, the Michelin Pilot MXX3 235/40/17 tires. Thanks, Marc 1995 M3 LTW with forged LTW wheels (and Fikse's for the track) 1995 M3 regular with forged LTW wheels
