#1. BMW display @ USGP - from Ed Tang

Where was it? The display was east of the Museum. Skip Barber was there and offered the 3 day race school at $395 off. I signed up immediately. Not only was the ugly Laguna Seca blue E46 M3 there, the Z8 and Williams BMW F1 car were there. I looked at the new M3 from the rear and it just doesn't match the aggressive front of the car. Maybe it's the softer edges. The front is bold, unfortunately the rear is real wimpy looking. The interior was svelte. Worlds apart from the E36 interior. By specs alone, the car will kick some major butt, however, from the side and rear, it doesn't give you that impression. On another note, the Mercedes SLR Vision concept drew more of a crowd than the M cars:( But it was cool to see it run on the before the grid formation. The driver's side rear tail light was out. Ooops. Ed Tang 95 Cosmos M3 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Photos - 35mm Quality Prints, Now Get 15 Free! http://photos.yahoo.com/

BTW the 323 (which is no longer being made) was at least $30k modestly optioned. A GLX with everything can be had for about $25k. MBMWC: I've owned A LOT of VWs (more than BMWs even), but my M3 is still the finest car I've ever owned. Wouldn't trade it for anythi... well maybe an M5. Or Z8. Or 360 Modena... :) -Paul >Yes actually teh bora is a bit bigger and built in germany, compared to the >Jetta which is built in mexico. I saw them in Italy last month when I was >there for vacation...I still would buy a 323 for that price...

Date: Fri, 29 Sep 2000 10:34:56 EDT From: RFKoby@aol.com Subject: FS:18"x8.5" wheel package Time to clean up the garage. I have four(4) OZ Monte Carlo 18" x 8.5" with Pirelli P-zero 235/35/18. The rims are straight and true, but need some minor TLC and cleaning. The tires are approx. 70% worn. Also have two(2) extra rims that are slightly out of round, they can be easily fixed by those wheel repair centers. Also have three(3) extra Pirelli P-zero 235/35/18. Tires are still good for a couple thousand miles, but they are a give away with the package. First $1,000 takes everything. Located in northern Indiana, will delivery as far as INDY, Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, and Mid-Ohio (for the Oct. school / race) contact me directly at rfkoby@aol.com

#5. Schroth harness question - from Ed Tang

It basically covers the stitched overlap of the belt. It appears the design allows for this to happen. Is this a bad thing? I'm going to buy all the parts through the mail. Where do you suggest I go? Steve D. I know what I need-- does he specifically sell it all? Or, is there a really good mail-order dealer to recommend? Thanks-- Keith Olcha

#8. Best M3 upgrade - from Sue Kraft

Date: Fri, 29 Sep 2000 12:19:33 -0500 From: Sue Kraft <suekraft@mindspring.com> Subject: Best M3 upgrade I thought it might be fun for everyone to cast a vote as to what they think is the best upgrade or modification they have done to their cars. If someone would like to keep a tally of votes, I'll post the winner on bmwmpower. I had a tough time deciding between my ACS short shifter or Jim C intake, but I think I'd have to go with the Jim C intake. So what do the rest of you think? Suzy

(sort of) for a 95 ESPECIALLY, i vote for chip/HFM/intake. (that's one upgrade right?) the larger HFM is a big deal on the OBD I cars. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. I got some Kumho Victoracers and for performance it was the best bang for the buck. For the record I have an AA exhuast, UUC SS (rattles too much but thats my fault supposedly, I won't go there), Jim C. upgrade, x-brace, and ECIS intake, schroth harnesses. And to boot, some drunk jerk-off rear-ended me last night and the car may be totalled so all the above may be for sale soon (minus Jim C. shark injector).
