I am getting a SC next month and was wondering if any 95's would like to purchase my hardly used, never tracked, 6 month new, perfect upgrade. I must say that it is the most noticable upgrade you will be able to purchase for your car (except perhaps a supercharger or turbo) Let me know what you think is a fair price. I live in Rhode Island and would be happy to meet with you and install it for you. Ben 95 pictures at http://www.bentickner.com/bens95m3/bens95m3.htm

#2. E46 M3 - from Alex Aditya

Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2000 13:16:33 GMT From: "Alex Aditya" <adityaax@hotmail.com> Subject: E46 M3 Someone asked if E36 interior would fit on E46 car. I remember seeing an E36 320i (4 doors) modified to E46 (4 doors) back in Jakarta, Indonesia. It has all E46 exterior (body panel, etc). The thing is back then the E46 hasn't been launched yet, so I was really surprised to see one. I checked it out, peer at the interior and boy, I was surprised to see the E36 interior. Then later on, I read about the car in a local automotive magazine and true, the owner changed all the exterior panel to E46 panel. So I guess it's the other way around, the E46 panel fit on the E36 cars :) Alex _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. #3. [E36M3] Sway Bar Brackets... OY!! - from twisty M3

Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2000 07:24:12 PDT From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: [E36M3] Sway Bar Brackets... OY!! What's Happening?!? This is the second set of sway bar brackets that's broken on me (RD Sport bars w/urethane bushings on a '99M3). Is this a really common situation or can I do something to avoid this (aside from switching back to stock bars)? Any chance JT Designs or anyone else has made a stronger bracket or does anyone have suggestions as to something that I can do to rememdy this? Thanks, Jonathan _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. I dunno if this is another urban legend, but saw it this morning on the Rennlist, a place where P-car guys hang out. This is a story of a late model BMW equipped with a GPS navigation system that "lost it" during a driving school. Read on... http://140.239.85.211/cgi-bin/993-996.pl?read=40954 GMK '97 ///M3/4, w/o navigation or gps options PS I agree with Suzy - 100HP+ who cares about the window switches. expecially if one can have SMG. can you say "much less time spent hunting for gears in braking zones?"

Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2000 15:07:46 GMT From: "Ron Buchalski" <rbuchals@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: BMW Synthetic Oil Davy, The High Performance oil sold at BMW dealers is a full synthetic. It is a 5W30 oil, and it's manufactured by Castrol. The owner's manual in my '95 M3 indicates that 5W30 should be used for ambient temperatures of 25F and below. For my environment (Maryland), the owner's manual recommends 15W40 or 15W50 year-round. I spoke with BMW Customer Relations about the recommended oil weight for my car. Here is the response: "I reviewed your question again with one of our technicians - relating to the 1995 S50 engine and he advised you can very safely use 15W40 during warmer weather, changing to 5W30 during freezing weather, or you can use BMW High Performance Synthetic Oil 5W30 which has been durability tested on BMW engines. The synthetic based oil resists thickening at very low ambient temperatures providing improved flow, lubrication and less internal engine resistance during cold starts. Under high heat conditions, the oil resists thermal breakdown/shearing which causes a loss of lubrication quality with conventional oils. Using BMW High Performance Synthetic Oil eliminates the need for seasonal oil changes since it covers all ambient temperature ranges." So, the oil guide in the owner's manual refers to MINERAL oils. The "Special Oils" bar refers to synthetic oils. Hope this helps. -rb >Date: Mon, 16 Oct 00 13:36:45 -0700 >From: Davy Chou <chou.d@apple.com> >Subject: BMW Synthetic Oil > >Hi, > >Does anyone on the digest have any experience with the synthetic oil sold >at local BMW dealer? Any ideas?? I installed the Momo Le Mans stainless steel/black rubber pedals along with their stainless steel dead pedal. I also installed the Momo brushed aluminum door sills. They were both a very nice addition. If you really want to go crazy, you can add brushed aluminum plates to the doors and rear panels. All items purchased through eBay. ;-) -peterg

I have added the chrome door pins, handbrake > button & the BMW Stainless Steel gear knob. I am now looking > to do something with my pedals and door handles, preferably in > stainless or aluminium. Any ideas?? Inside the interior door handle recess, I suggest putting one of the little ///M badges that are found on some of the aluminum wheels (like the M-Contour. It is a good size for that small (3 cm x 6 cm) space. This is the little badge that measures about 0.6 cm x 1.0 cm It adds color to a boring door, and it forms a little "shadow box" affect. The driver will see the ///M in the passenger's door, and the passenger will see the ///M in the driver's door, when seated. Also, your car is an excellent candidate for Milos Klackos carbon fiber treatment. The larger panels look best (the small pieces tend to have too much curvature to the resin, imho) Therefore, I suggest these pieces: 1. front doors/rear panels (assuming not a Lux model) 2. steering wheel trim(left/right pieces) 3. glovebox trim. This will cost I'm going to guess about $190 for the doors and $30 for glovebox & $40 for steering wheel from http://www.MKautosport.com/ The owner, Milos Klackos is a really nice guy whose name was all over the BMW digests in 1995 and 1996 for having a really good product! His name has fallen into dissuse on the digests because of two reasons: 1) the interiour styling changes from 1997-on and 2) getting mixed up on the field of air intake battles (he was last seen carrying a box of grenades and trying to sell them to both the white team and the black team ....kinda-sorta) Or, if you want a different tack, for $200 alone for the glovebox, you can get the BMW Motorsport piece off the LTW (buy from BMW) It is really cool with black/brown/and red threads! You can also get the console for $800 (ouch!) The door sill strips are available, but they are not real CF, they are a sticker. No matter what you do, seriously consider the ///M badges inside your door handle recess, cause they look very slick and factory. And btw, the shifter console he's selling ($295) is made by Zender and is very nice. I used the bottom part and left the vertical part (surrounding my gauges) off (makes it easier to get to VDO Volt/Oil/Temp gauges to touch up light bulbs with Sanford permanent orange marker every 1.5 years) Oh, I just noticed Milos now sells aluminum pedals with CF inserts. Anybody have these? Do you like them? Also, I have a Momo Shadow knob, and his real CF knob looks much better! At $89 it is a steal. My only complaint is with the "set screws" in the Momo don't bite well into my aluminum AC Schnitzer shifter. Blue Locktite helps, but it isn't a permanent fix. Anyone with Milos' shifter like or dislike it? - Skip

Hence, premium cooking pans often consist of a sandwich of aluminum bottoms over stainless cooking surfaces. That said, don't burn your passenger wth aluminum door panels! I can't remember if your shift knob was aluminum. If so, you are probably already suffering and you don't need my advice, feel free to ignore it. - Skip (first thing to go on my AC Schnitzer shift lever was that @&@^# aluminum trailer hitch!) > If you really want to go crazy, you can add brushed aluminum plates to > the doors and rear panels.
