#2. E36 Coolant hose replacement - from Eric.C.Dotson@travelers.com

Date: Wed, 18 Oct 2000 11:12:09 -0400 From: Eric.C.Dotson@travelers.com Subject: E36 Coolant hose replacement Well, it looks like the thermostat in my 95 M3 is stuck open. While I'm in there I figured I'll replace the coolant hoses. The radiator hoses look easy enough, but the heater hoses look like a PITA. Anyone replaed these before? Do you have to do anything crazy, like remove the intake? Any tips (I know about the water pump)? Car has 95k. TIA, Eric 95 M3 Warhorse @ 95k 95 325i For Sale

Somebody should design these for the E36 M3. Bob Stommel > Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2000 07:24:12 PDT > From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> > > What's Happening?!? #5. JTD tranny brace - from jbergstrom
Top
Date: Wed, 18 Oct 2000 11:02:48 -0500 From: "jbergstrom" <john@intellectsys.com> Subject: JTD tranny brace I am seriously considering the JTD tranny brace to help reduce the amount of play in the transmission under high cornering forces, both autox and track conditions. My 2nd-3rd shift is the most affected, I occassionally miss and go to 5th. I'm not interested in the 320i mounts or UUC tranny mount enforcers, I am looking for a more potent solution. Noise translated to the cabin is not too big a factor, unless it rattles my teeth out of my head. The car is a daily driver. Everything I've heard about the JTD brace has been good. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had any negative experiences regarding fit, finish, performance, etc. on this piece. You may respond privately if you wish. Thanks in advance. John '95 M3

(that's what i do) 2. bleed them. go out and do some panic stops (that engage the ABS). come back in and bleed them again. (that's what really through people do) _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. #8. Dealer missing a tool? - from juan_rico

Date: Wed, 18 Oct 2000 09:11:42 -0700 From: "juan_rico" <juan_rico@captionsinc.com> Subject: Dealer missing a tool? Hi everybody! I just wanted to pose a quick question. I just got my car back after my Inspection II. They discovered that the rear trailing arm bushings are shot and need to be replaced. Apparently, my extended warranty is covering this. However, they can't do the swap just yet because they're missing the tool. Is this a bunch of B.S.? S.A. said they had to order it to Germany and they should have the tool here in two weeks...(???) I know you need a special tool but I'm sure it's a fairly *common* tool for a BMW dealership (one of the bigger ones, I might add). Besides, if my extended warranty is covering it, why wouldn't they want to do the work? Am I missing something here? I only have 600 miles left on my warranty (good for a week).

I posed this question to the service manager when I took my 99 M3 in a couple weeks ago and he said he knew of no reason not to do it my self. The only warning I remember from this list earlier is to take the car out after bleeding, do some hard stops to clean out the abs and asc and reblead but most people don't seem to be doing the second blead. > > I bleed my own brakes with a mityvac about 15 times a season.
