I doubt there is much difference if any between the intakes amongst the vendors. I personally prefer going directly to the vendor that played a part in creating it usually (i.e., Europsort) unless there was some other parts I needed from another vendor which also had it for the same price. There may be differences if anything got updated (like a foam surround versus a rubber surround that Ron Stygar mentioned) which the other vendors have not received into inventory yet. Again, Europsort would have the latest and greatest and Josh is very helpful with questions. When I installed mine, I called him at approximately 10:00 PM on a Friday night and he answered the phone and answered my questions. Good luck and a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. Regards, Rich 95 M3 (Euro HFM, JC Intake and JC Chip)

Is there a procedure on how it has been done available on the 'net for a '96 M3? Thanks! Hey world travellers, I'm off to Europe for 10 days and I really want to rent a BMW as all the front wheel drive rentals will be no fun at the 'Ring!. The Euro rental companies I've called so far either don't offer BMW's or will not reserve one for you, only a "car of the same class". Anyone know where I can get a BMW? I'd like to get an E36 M3 or an E46 with a 6cyl. Thanks, Rob

When installed, it didn't really come close (3/4") to the oil pan. Add my voice to the skeptic camp. My '97 M3 has the x-brace, and I won't be adding the buffer stop to it. Hey Rob, I just came back from a European trip myself about three weeks ago. I rented my E46 320d sedan from Avis in Paris. The other cars in that class included 330d & 530d. It's class G I think, all cars in that class are BMWs. HOwever, as the "d" designation implies, they're all diesel. Not sure if you've gotta have gasoline engines. I'd highly recommend the 320d I rented. It's got plenty of torque even tho accleration isn't all that great. NOt to mention good fuel-mileage (I got 7.5l/1000k for my trip), and diesel is cheaper than petro in Europe... Make sure you visit the gift shop at the Nurburgring. Lots of cool merchandise... :-) Oh yeah, on the Autobahn, watch for the "stau" signs. It means traffic ahead! Have fun...
