Let me tell you, I was impressed with how nice and O R D I >N A R Y guys they were I second that. I first met Will about 12 years ago when he was working with Noble Auto in suburban CT and tinkering with his Euro-spec E30 323i. When I see him on Speedvision interviews or speak to him at TMS, he's still the same old guy - extremely genuine and down to earth. He never tries to sell you something that you don't need but instead will tell you what you don't need to spend money on without belittling or insulting you with his extensive knowledge on E30 and E36 BMWs. Just thought I'd see who among us lives in the Big Apple in case I have some time to meet and visit with some fellow ///M Heads. If nothing else, maybe you have some suggestions on touristy things to do for someone who may be able to find a little "personal" time for seeing the city (haven't been there since I was about 4 or 5 years old). Obligitory M3 content: I'm Coming from So. Cal. so I won't have the M3 with me unfortunately (maybe that's actually fortunate?). Responding personally is probably best to avoid wasting bandwidth. Thanks! Jonathan L. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. LOL i'm an electrical engineer. i just took apart and modified my valentine 1 radar detector to dim the amount i want (or not at all) as opposed to the WAY TOO MUCH dimming it does on it's own. if you're anywhere near seattle i can wire some switches for you. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. #8. M1 Question... - from Mark Radelow

Date: Fri, 03 Nov 2000 01:25:59 GMT From: "Mark Radelow" <radelow@hotmail.com> Subject: M1 Question... I was also at the BMW San Diego event last night. I am just curious about M1's as the only other one I have seen was at the museum in Germany. How rare are M1's and how valuable are they? Frank Fahey was real cool and told me all the technical details but I didn't ask anything else about the car. Mid-engine inline six...SWEET. Date: Thu, 02 Nov 2000 20:37:22 EST From: LoweSeaton@aol.com Subject: Re: [E36M3] thank you ! Jim & Sean - When are you guys coming to Dallas? I've got a 4-way light switch challenge for you. :-) I want to put a motion sensing light switch in my bedroom hallway. I have 4 doors off the hallway so I have three (3) 3-way switches and one 4-way switch. Searching at Home Depot I see motion sensing light switches are available as 2-way and 3-way switches but not 4-way. As luck would have it, the 4-way switch is located in the ideal spot for the motion sensing switch. The 3-ways are all at the far end of the hallway and won't work for somebody coming from the other end. Any electrical engineers in Dallas? Give me holler! BTW: Does the Valentine One dim itself? I swear mine does not automatically dim. I think mine just has a toggle between "night" or "day." I've never used it so I forget. I'll have to look at it tonight and report back. Saw a red one on display Allison BMW not too long ago, too.
