Yes, the Euro HFM gives a very nice increase in power. The last time I dyno'ed my M3 I measured 219.5 hp at the rear wheel. This was on crappy gas too. My engine knocked and pinged slightly so I assume the chip turned back the timing and hurt my power a little. Next time I dyno my M3 I am going to fill up with 100 octane racing gas! The last two times I have dyno'ed it, I've had crappy gas and pinging. I live in Dallas. We now have Phase II Reformulated Gas. Reformulated Gas (RFG) hurts performance. It is lower in BTU's. RFG is a pet peeve of mine. I hate it. EPA claims it cuts performance less than 1%. Hockey pucks! My gas mileage and performance is down about 5%. I can immediately tell when I am on trips out of Dallas and fill up with straight gas. Anyway, off my soap box. Jim Conforti says the rear wheel loss for our M3's is 17.3%. That means you divide measured rear wheel hp by 0.827 (1-0.173) or multiply by 1.209. Using my 219.5 hp x 1.209 = 265 hp. That is a good 25 hp over the stock 240 hp. I'll wager that if I dyno'ed my M3 on something besides RFG, I could get 275 hp. I'll also confirm the effectiveness of the ECIS. I don't like it and I took it off recently. That is another story I'll post later. I am now back to the Euro airbox (aka Dinan High Flow Airbox). I have dyno'ed my M3 with the Euro airbox and everything else the same. My rear wheel hp was just 212 hp. I can notice a drop in power with the Euro airbox. My recommendation is definitely get the Euro HFM and Jim Conforti special chip. I purchased them from Turner Motorsport. I will add my compliments to Turner. I have had excellent service from Turner. But DO NOT buy the Euro airbox. I'd recommend the Eurosport/Jim Conforti intake. I need to buy it. Damn it!! I have already spent $700 on intakes (Dinan & ECIS). :-) Good luck! Lowell Seaton '95 M3 Dallas, Texas

Works great as prototyped on my car. Stays put to 165 mph indicatred and survives my numerous plowing episodes on the track. Its slightly harder to install than the stock pieces. But then again, its probably the only time you'll ever do it again. You can't say that about the stock pieces. Some people advocate using the stock porkchop pieces on the ends in front of the tires with this piece. Its perfectly doable although I can't notice any difference without them on my car. If I lived where it rained I think I would put them on.
