You know, this one of the big pluses with JimC's SW for me, and tends to go unmentioned in all the "my dynos numbers are better than your dyno numbers" flaming in the past :-) In adition to all the track driving, I have a 100-mile roundtrip commute through some of the WORST traffic in the Bay Area. Having smooth fuel cut-off is much more comfortable in stop-n-go traffic (of course the extra torque, hp, and higher rev limit help in certain situations, too :-)). My 2 cents, Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4

Could it be that he has a bad butt dyno? AJ >>> Save your $300 or $400 and apply them elsewhere. FWIW, I had the JC chip on mine for a while but with the stock intake setup. Didn't notice much either. I'm still mystified by this whole chip thing. Maybe someday I'll get it... Juan (going back to a stock chip...) >>>>

No, but one of them is in my chapter (tough q there when there's only 1 winner from MI). ;-) Talked to him last night, he'll get a check and then he can get in line for the car if he wants to. He didn't believe it at first when Phil Marx called so he called Phil back the next day to confirm. He can also pick out an Xi an X5 or whatever else he pleases. There are a few past winners on this list. Carlos Motor City Chapter __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? From homework help to love advice, Yahoo! I wonder if it varies some (the amount of change) depending >on when you bought it?!? it might. but i'll bet it depends more on the car, and where you mount the thing. see... in my S4, the dash is red. the EXACT same red as the V1. and i have the "remote display" and i have it mounted right in my instrument cluster. it looks like the V1 is part of the dash. so (being anal) i felt compelled to make them match as much as possible. in the daytine they (the V1 and the S4 dash lights) are the same brightness, but at night the V1 was dimmer then the S4's dash. so i had to make them the same. (being anal and all ;-) in a car where the display's don't match as much, or the detector is mounted not in the instrument cluster, but up on the window, i'll bet the really dim setting at night is great. (it would be a pain to have a bright red L in the corner of my eye all the time at night for instance) _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Some parts are ONLY available as remanufactured items (like engines, transmission, and I guess instrument clusters). Chances are, the reman part will work just as good as a new part. Top
Date: Fri, 03 Nov 2000 16:12:38 -0800 From: Bora Akyol <akyol@pluris.com> Subject: License Plate decoding answer Dave got it. LIV4CRV = Live for curves I thought of it last night when I took a corner near my house and had to do an avoidance maneuver at mid corner and the car just did it with no protest. I also got Live for carve (as in carving canyon roads) and I had not thought of this one. My second choice was : L8R APEX and third choice was FSTR M3 (my 928 has FSTR 928). My wife thought this was hard to decode but apparently not for us M3 drivers ;-) Bora
