I had the exact same thing happen on my '97 M3, same check control / temp gauge instead of the full OBC. A dealer in Arizona (don't remember off the top of my head) replaced it for me on my cross country trip last year without asking any further questions. Now that my car is out of warranty, I find myself using the display far less. Plus when it got installed, I guess somebody forgot to set the language to English - it's all in german! If you can get camber back to the >original setting, toe shouldn't have changed. My thinking is that if I can simply remove the salad tong (first the inner mount, then the outer, so that there's no force on the eccentric when it's removed) then in theory I should not have changed anything gemoetry-wise (neither the inner attach point, on the subframe, nor the outer attach point, on the hub) and therefore I simply bolt it all back together to achieve the same camber. The eccentric will end up wherever it wants to be, so yes, it will have been disturbed, and it probably won't be in exactly the same position as before, but the wheel camber will not have changed anyway. I do have one of those SmartCamber thingies, so I'll do a before-and-after, but I find it so hard to use that I don't have much faith in it. My main worry is whether the wheel will stay in place, or "pop out". Regards, -- ______________________________________ Andrew E. Kalman, Ph.D. aek@pumpkininc.com

Like you, I could only see one pin for power to the antenna. I think the reason why aftermarket head units are not as good for radio reception has to do with a) the stock head unit is tuned to work with the car (the car's antenna, car's shielding, etc) and b) you lose the diversity antenna feature which the stock head unit used to pick the strongest of the two signals. Oh well, a compromise I suppose. Chester BTW, I finally installed the HID in the passenger side tonight. I studied both Ron's and Stephen Lafredo's instructions, and in fact managed to cut out some of their steps (there's no need to disconnect or remove the clutch and brake limit switches). But any installation which requires you to stuff your inverted head and shoulders down into the driver's footwell can hardly be termed "minimal effort". That's why I went into some detail about the Stygar pedal mod. I had assumed it too obvious to need stating that no clutch stop design can fix clutch pedal bushing wear. Apparently nothing is too obvious. However the large stop can protect you from a potential consequence of clutch pedal slop, and with no downside at all due to its size. So in an addendum for the obvious impaired, let me also add that despite its name, the Big Boy isn't going to take care of any, err, personal shortcomings you may have. And you Lady Drivers shouldn't get your hopes up either. Makes a dandy clutch stop though. Neil 96 M3 - UUC clutch stop, UUC SS, Ron Stygar clutch pedal

But why did no one complain about this with the original BMW clutch stop? The after market CS is in between the OCS and the clutch pedal rested position. If we press down the pedal, it misses and gets stuck on the left side of the AMCS. Why will it land on top of the OCS? Sounds like it should miss the OCS too. I just don't get it? BTW <So once you've installed the clutch bushings, you'll then realize that...well, a fat clutch stop is just plain silly when a stock diameter (not height) sized one will do perfectly fine.> I won't call it silly!
