You might want to get 4 new nuts and washers. They strip easily after adjusting the bars a few times, which I'm sure you would. ;-) Wen _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web. Also, what you can do to make the opening look finished off is to go to you dealer and buy a pair of fog light covers...These were a no cost option for the 318 as the fog light delete option. Then, dremel out the centers to whatever size hole you need. Then, epoxy some plastic mesh, or whatever protective material youd like to cover teh opening...Then, I painted mine in a hi gloss black. This gives the opening a nicley finished appearance. There are several versions of teh type of brake duct opening sold on BMP. Look around. I think bimmerworld.com also has an option. _____________________________ Paul Elliott '99 Alpine White M3 <25000 mi Forged M dbl-spokes; Rotex pads; Dinan Stage II Supercharger; Stygar Short Shift kit and Clutch Stop; Skaggs Pedals; X-brace; Sound by Kenwood Excelon, Polk, JL Audio

#3. Free set of tires! - from Daniel Smith
Top
Date: Thu, 7 Dec 2000 17:18:29 -0800 From: Daniel Smith <dls@daniel.org> Subject: Free set of tires! San Francisco North Bay - Sonoma County I am about to replace my Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position SO-2's with a fresh set (just got them from Tire Rack today). I am giving away my old set - don't want to store them. They have about 10,000 miles on them, and would be great for autocross or skid pad practice. The front sidewalls are worn to the point where I would not want to take them on the track. Decent amount of tread left. 2 - 225/45 2 - 245/40 (stock '97 sizes) send email for details. You pick them up. Will be available Monday (possibly earlier). Daniel p.s. I use these tires on the street every day, but make no guarantees about them, etc. You assume all responsibility. (I hate having a disclaimer, but am just covering myself) -- Daniel L. Smith - dls@daniel.org - Sonoma County, CA

I dont think BMW NA will care cause they think wether or not you went over 7500+ or whatever RPM the DME records it at, automatically they will claim damage and void your drivetrain warranty. I found out the hard way though =/ _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com

#5. Rear Seat Cover - from Patrick Mallon

Date: Thu, 7 Dec 2000 20:57:32 -0500 From: "Patrick Mallon" <zez413@home.com> Subject: Rear Seat Cover Can any one recommend a seat cover for the rear of a 98 M3 Convertible. I am faced with the following ultimatum. "Let the 100Lb dog into the back of your car or get a car that the dog can ride in." BMW makes a universal for the rear seat but does not list the E36 coupe as one of the models it will work with (Universal?) They make a model for the E36 Sedan and one for the E46 Coupe. Any thoughts BMW or Not? Thank You Pat 98 M3 Convertible

#6. Brake cooling ducts - cheapest? - from David Hogg
Top
Date: Thu, 7 Dec 2000 21:20:13 -0800 From: "David Hogg" <springwood@blazenet.net> Subject: Brake cooling ducts - cheapest? BMP offers specially-fabricated inserts for the fog light holes with a 2"/3" hose connection molded into the back. They're $130/pair -- not cheap -- but you could rig your own flex duct from there. If anyone wants just the right side one, I can sell you THAT one cheap! I bought them just for the left side to provide a finished look to feed more air to the shark using a foot of 3" flex. If you buy them from the stealer, yes, that sounds right. In fact, Hendrick BMW sells them for over $40, with the CCA "discount". I really think they raise the prices 25%, then give us a 20% discount for a net 5% overage. As a result, I buy mine from Steve D'G for much less : ) Shane Kleinpeter Tarheel Chapter '96 M3 <- second set of sway bar end links

The models changed so now Alpine is running an AI net version, where as the factory is a 59 series changer. You may be able to find a used 59 series changer for a good deal, however the 59 series was prone to failing. Good luck. Paul Agustin 97 F3 95 M3 93 ZJ
