Date: Sat, 9 Dec 2000 11:48:55 EST From: Gcfuller@aol.com Subject: Eibachs I just received my group purchase Eibachs. I know the subject of settings for the bars has been covered before, but my set-up is a little different, so I'll ask again. I have 8.5 contours all around, so most of my understeer is gone. So, what is the best setting for the bars (firm/loose) for the front and rear (to start with)? I don't track the car, and the rest of the suspension is stock, except for the x-brace. I was suprised when the bars had only two adjustment holes on each end; I was expecting three. Suggestions? Greg Fuller '98 M3/4

BTW, you don't need three holes worth of adjustments for these bars. Eibach/Schnitzer did their homework quite well. Cheers, Jim E. Could you make it coincide with a SD chapter autox? I'd love to see what this crazy boost and going agro talk is all about. Could you put those race seats on sliders too I'm rather short. Thnx, Carlos (do I need to bring oxygen or is the air OK in SD?) OK no need to rip into Detroit it already has a reputation. :-) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get the car the back and the steering wheel vibrates between 40-60 mph. Take it back, weights adjusted, but same thing. I just returned from trip #3 and still no luck. The tire store says the wheels are balanced and straight and has no idea what the problem is. Does anyone??? Andy Frustrated K.

#10. M3 in Aruba - from vernon@sprynet.com
Top
Date: Sun, 10 Dec 2000 19:16:35 -0500 From: vernon@sprynet.com Subject: M3 in Aruba Hello everyone, I'm still recovering from winter shock - my wife and I just got back from Aruba last night and returned to 20 degree weather here in PA. We had a great time there, but I was amazed to see how many high-performance cars they have there. LT1 and C5 Vette's, many blown pony cars, a few Supra TT's, etc. However, the very first performance car I saw was 5 minutes from the aiport in the cab. An absolutely beautiful modified red E36 M3 coupe pulled next to us and turned down a side street (never saw it again that week and never saw any other M cars). It was lowered a bit, sporting some camber, had fender-filling 18" wheels, aftermarket exhaust (couldn't tell which kind) and looked beautiful. What a frustrating car that must be on that island. The entire island is only 19x6 miles and has no really great roads. I know they were supposed to build a racetrack (Trans-Am and hopefully CART) on the southern end of the island but the last I heard the plans had been scrapped. Oh well! ! , after seeing that beautiful car trapped on that tiny island I don't feel bad about the 3 hour drive to Mid-Ohio or the 4 hour drive to Summit because at least I can get to them without a boat. Happy Holidays! Vern Anderson 98 M3/2, lots of goodies Cold, wintery Pittsburgh (isolated, but not an island)
