Hello, Just to clear up any confusion, the article that appeared in European Car (Jan 2001) was written in August 1999. It took them over a year to print it. Our cars have changed 90% since then. The motor is a M52 328 with Bosch injection. We use the Conforti air box with ITG filter. -Will Turner, President Turner Motorsport- -207 Elm Street, Amesbury, MA 01913- -(978) 388-7769 (978) 388 4202 fax- www.turnermotorsport.com / www.tmsracing.com HAVE YOU SHARKED YOUR BMW? If it's getting a bad signal, it could be radically altering the volume without regard to actual speed. First thing I'd do to check it is turn that feature off. My UUC exhaust didn't fit right (and fit perfectly on everyone else's car), my UUC clutch stop had to be modified, and my stygar clutch pedal squeaks. It's almost definitely my fault, because I didn't put enough grease on the @*(#$*@#$ bushings. :( oh, well. That is strange. The delrin bushings Ron uses should not squeak, with or without grease. I would guess something else is actually squeaking aside from the clutch pivot point/delrin bushings. Kit goes on to say > Just curious... what kind of clutches are you guys using? Mostly concerned with those of you using performance clutches. I'm thinking about doing a supercharger early next year (go market, go!) and I'm thinking that a stock clutch will be ok for a mild (6psi) setup. WOW, with your luck, I would not even consider a supercharger. Just think of the potential problematic scenarios. :-) Best regards, Rich - Stygar clutch pedal does not squeak

E36 M3 bushings the best ones to use for a daily driver or should I > look into and aftermarket unit? > > Happy ///Motoring > Rob Rob, There are (at least) 2 different E36 M3 front control arm bushings: - Those from the 95, which are offset (P/N 31 12 9 064 875) - The 96+ version, which are not (P/N 31 12 9 069 035). Both are considerably stiffer than the 325i bushings. Using the M3 bushing will definitely sharpen your turn in response. The 95 offset bushing moves the rear pivot point outward a bit, which pushes the lower end of the strut forward for more caster. It's hard to say whether there's an effect on camber either way, but if so it would appear to be very small. For general interest: Last winter a friend was interested in putting doing the Koni/H&R upgrade on his 325i with about 70K miles, and called TC Kline's shop to buy the parts. He was told that he should replace: - Rear trailing arm bushings - Front control arm bushings - Strut bearings with the equivalent M3 parts before making any other upgrades. We did this, and the improvement in handling was surprisingly evident. (Note that this was excellent disinterested advice, since the parts had to come from a dealer, not TC.) Later we installed the M3 version Koni/H&R setup for further improvement.

After sitting in my enclosed garage for 10 days, I started the car as soon as I got home, took it for a short drive and as soon as I pulled back into my steep driveway, check control came on and said check coolant level. The engine is fully warmed up and the coolant level is about 1/2 inch below the cold level marked in the overflow container. I never checked the coolant level and so I have no idea if it has been like this always. I am going to just fill the overflow to the right level with phosphate free antifreeze. Anything else I should watch for. Thanks Bora A.J. DiVincenti Assistant Dean for Fiscal Affairs LSU School of Dentistry
