See above. well... either it's time for new tires (g-forces are usually good for 5-6 heat cycles) or your setup is wrong. (g-forces are picky about pressures. you gotta be within 1/2 pound. and camber. you gotta be within 0.05 degrees) i just can't imagine race compound tires being worse then street tires. i haven't used g-forces much lately (since i hate them) but my hoosiers are sticky enough after 5 laps that i can stick rocks to the sides of them (as if they were double back tape) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

I have 1.70 degrees of negative camber on both sides and run 29 psi cold, 36ish hot... (They were at 36ish when I did this experiment) > i just can't imagine race compound tires being worse then street tires. i > haven't used g-forces much lately (since i hate them) but my hoosiers are > sticky enough after 5 laps that i can stick rocks to the sides of them (as > if they were double back tape) That's what I said. Very strange? I figured that it might've been because I'm using the new fiberglass R1As (which are much more forgiving and easier to drive than the old G-force R1s). Either that or maybe my LSD has given up. :( -kit

It's just a matter of having the proper tools (really loooooong extensions for example). Actually, you have to remove the starter in order to remove the tranny. So if your shop says they have to remove the tranny in order to get to the starter, FIND ANOTHER SHOP! Nick > dammit. Well, I just had the starter replaced under warranty, and it looks like they removed the driver side front fender cover. My guess is there's a good size hole to get your hands in there. Still, not much room as far as I can see. Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA AS Champion 1997 & 2000 mov'in to ESP in '01 (or BSP...whatever the SCCA gods decide)

Note that the ITG web site says that the adhesives used in their filter won't stand up to prolonged immersion in water, but are OK for brief periods. I haven't cleaned mine yet either, but really don't want to mess with a bucket of kerosene, much less gasoline. What the hell would you do with it afterwards, especially since it'd be contaminated with dirt? Neil 96 M3
