Sorry for the bad news. >:) trial and error is the ONLY way. P.S. you only have "perfect" camber with one weight of car (one level of the fuel in the tank), with one amount of lateral Gs (one particular corner on the track, at one particular speed), with one amount of air pressure (based on tire temp which varies all over the place), etc, etc, etc, etc... that means, at every different track, every day (air temp), every hour (clouds?), you have different settings. and they only work with one fuel level. (if they are right with a full tank, they SUCK with an almost empty tank) so you average. you can get it close with tire temps. this kind of "averages" all the turns on the track. but it'll still change with air temp and fiel level. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

I have given up on getting in line here and will buy a "used" M3 with 10-50 miles on the odo a bit over the MSRP in a year or so. I have seen M5s with less than 100 miles sitting at high end used car lots in the Bay Area. Ditto with 911 turbos. #7. Fuel Injection Cleaning - from Bora Akyol
Top
Date: Mon, 15 Jan 2001 17:41:59 -0800 From: "Bora Akyol" <akyol@akyol.org> Subject: Fuel Injection Cleaning I took my car in today to get the O2 sensor replaced as well as a fuel injector cleaning (DECARB) via direct injection through the fuel rail and intake manifold. Wow! The car runs so much smoother and feels better. Whatever that stuff is, it must be pretty darn good. Granted my car has 90K+ miles but still huge difference. Quite satisfied so far. I also got the sunroof adjusted for reducing windnoise and that seems to have worked too. Bora

#9. Crappy tire valves - from Paul England
Top
Date: Mon, 15 Jan 2001 20:58:53 -0500 From: "Paul England" <ettsn@mindspring.com> Subject: Crappy tire valves I had an odd thing happen today. I came out of a restaurant at lunch to find my car was hissing. Yep. Hissing. My right rear valve stem was leaking! So I pull into NTB (shoulda known better) and ask if they can fix it. Dude says "yeah. can you leave it? we'll get to it in a couple hours." A COUPLE HOURS? Dude, there is *AIR* leaking out of my tire. I can leave it with you, if you'll toss it on a lift and swap me to my spare. His response? "nah. we don't have a tech who can do that right now. feel free to do it yourself in the parking lot, and bring us the tire." My ass! So I walk back out, past three open bays (with lifts, no less) and use my little crappy crank 'em up jack to swap my tire. Then I think "am I seriously going to let THESE a-holes fix this?" Hell, no. So I pull around the corner to a Big 10 Tire. Guys in there were totally cool. Said "Sure. Bring it around. We'll fit you in." Pulled, replaced the stem, remounted, balanced and put back on the car. Total? 10 bucks and 20 minutes. NTB will NEVER get another CENT from me. Ever. They couldn't be inconvenienced with my minor emergency. Sheesh. I know I should prolly have all of my stems swapped to metal, but I don't track the car (yet). Should I bother, or is this that common? -Paul
