My insurance company and the CHP were very happy. I am not. For those in the SF Bay Area it was on the very long San Mateo bridge. The total damage is around $24K. I'm having it repaired at the SF BMW Dealership Bodyshop. The best BMW body-shop I know of. They will cut and rebuild everything in front of the windshield and the entire rear suspension will be replaced also because the rear wheels were folded beneath the car. Anyone else have major work like this done? Was it "just like new" as the bodyshop guys assure me? What should I look for when the eight week repair job is complete? Air leaks? Squeaks? Rattles? Paint lines? Any good exercises I could do to find problems? I plan on promptly selling the car when the work is complete. With full disclosure of course. BMW of SF did an EXCELLENT job and even threw in some ding removals. Chris was the guy I was working with and he was more than helpful. Chris claimed that "after the repair it will be LIKE NEW". Well it was!!! Could not tell that any repair was made!!! Good choice on repair facilities. Best wishes, Roman S. 96 ///M3 -----Original Message----- From: Rodger Keesee To: E36M3 Sent: 1/18/01 5:51 PM Subject: [E36M3] Near total-loss woes Date: Thu, 18 Jan 2001 17:47:03 -0800 From: "Rodger Keesee" <rodger@teutonic.com> Subject: Near total-loss woes I sacrificed my '97 M3/2 to prevent a multi-car pileup on a narrow bridge. Date: Thu, 18 Jan 2001 23:07:02 EST From: AVUSM3@aol.com Subject: Dinan CAI.. Is anybody currently running a Dinan CAI on their M3? I have tried one of the other systems on the market and was not completely happy with the fit and appearance. If anyone is running one can you give me some idea of how you like it, what performance gain you are getting, and how it sounds. Thanks, John

#10. 95 M3 for sale w/ mods - from Brent91NSX@aol.com

Date: Fri, 19 Jan 2001 00:28:18 EST From: Brent91NSX@aol.com Subject: 95 M3 for sale w/ mods After much debate, I am deciding to put my car up for sale. This car has been amazing, it has never been tracked and only to one autocross. I have put 25k miles on it since February. I've decided to purchase a new 330i. If you know of anyone that is interested, I would really appreciate it. This car is in immaculate condition. It has many upgrades. The list is as follows: B&B Triflo Exhaust, ECIS Cold Air Intake, Jim Conforti Performance Chip, European Clear Turn Signals, 18" OZ Monte Carlo Wheels with Pirelli PZero's (over $3000 alone) Aluminum pedals, H&R Springs (lowered for an aggressive stance), short shifter. I've probably forgotten a few things. This car must be seen and driven. Use Mobil 1 Tri synthetic oil, redline fluids. Great condition. picture can be seen at http://members.aol.com/brent91nsx/auto/M32.jpg http://members.aol.com/brent91nsx/auto/M31.jpg Thanks, Brent Email Brent95M3@aol.com
