If you have the OBC (On-Board Computer) you will have this sensor. I think all M3's have at least the minimum OBC so all M3's should have this sensor. The sensor on the passenger side controls some of the heated accessories like mirrors, wiper nozzles, and door locks. Lowell Seaton '95 M3 - with $600 optional OBC I did NOT want however every M3 in Texas had it P.S. I've also got the $1,200 sunroof I did NOT want but just try buying a car in Texas without a sunroof. The dealer laughed at me ;-)

#3. K&N 30% off retail (certificate) - from John Demartino US-Valencia

Date: Tue, 27 Feb 2001 19:29:37 +0100 From: John Demartino US-Valencia <j.demartino@us.qiagen.com> Subject: K&N 30% off retail (certificate) I have two gift certificates from K&N for $50 each (retail value, see picture). I won these in a kart racing series but they can be used by anybody. Since I am not planning to order any K&N products in the near future, and one of these is going to expire on 3/10/01, I was wondering if anyone is interested in floating me some $$$ for them to help offset the cost of the race I won them in, say $35 each? That's 30% off retail. An M3 air filter lists for about $40, plus an $11 cleaning kit, plus tax puts you in the $50 range. You can search for your specific application at http://www.knfilters.com/appinq.htm <<K&N.jpg>> Thanks, John

Even if the filter, cleaning kit, shipping costs $60, 30% of that would only be $18. Why would someone pay you $35 for the coupon? They are 17 by 8" and hold 245/40-17 Hoosiers on an E36 M3 with no spacers front and rear. They are polished aluminum 5-spoke style, have seen some track use (they are not 100% clean), and are completely round. New these wheels go for about $600 each. Wheels weigh about 17 lbs each without tires. I am asking $800 for these wheels, buyer pays shipping as well if they need to go across the country. I am in/near Dallas Texas. A filter and recharger kit allegedly cost ~ $50. Or $35 if you buy the $50 coupon. #9. OEM M3 Wheels for sale - from Vern Anderson
Top
Date: Tue, 27 Feb 2001 14:11:22 -0500 From: Vern Anderson <VAnderson@IVW.com> Subject: OEM M3 Wheels for sale Hello all, I have two sets of wheels for sale. Both are the 20-spoke style that came standard on the 1996+ M3's. They are basically two separate staggered sets that I purchased and used separately. All are original, OEM BMW M3 wheels and are straight and true. 1. Four 17x7.5 20-spoke's - I used the four 17x7.5's for winter wheels and they still have worn 205/50/17 Pirelli Winter210 snow tires on them. The wheels are in very good condition and can be seen at the photo album (link below). Like I said, they are the four front wheels from two staggered sets, standard 41mm offset. Wheel #1 is almost perfect with no defects. Wheel #2 has a very minor section of curb rash that can be seen in the photo - it is very small, about 1/2 inch. Wheel #3 has some sections on the rim where the finish has been scratched that you can see in the photos. There is also a small nick on rim near the center that can be seen in the photo. Wheel #4 has a small scratch that can hardly be seen in the photo. The tires have another winter left on them, but not much more. Available for $600 or best offer. 2. Four 17x8.5 20-spoke's - I used the four 17x8.5's for autocross, they have worn 245/40/17 Hoosier A3SO3 autocross tires on them. The wheels are straight and true, but have some cosmetic damage and can be seen in the photo album (link below). They are the four rear wheels from two staggered sets, standard 41mm offset. Wheel #1 has some scratches on the rim. Wheel #2 has some curb rash and some scratches. Wheel #3 has some minor scratches and a very small section of curb rash. Wheel #4 has some curb rash and scratches. The tires have about 85 runs (about 10 days total) of autocrossing and have already been flipped on the rims. They probably have 4-5 more days (20-30 runs) before they are totally shot. Available for $800 or best offer. I will sell staggered sets (two 17x7.5 and two 17x8.5) if someone wants, let me know and we can work out a deal. Both sets of wheels can be seen at: http://photos.yahoo.com/vanhome_y Buyer pays actual shipping from Pittsburgh, PA (15243). Vern Anderson 98 M3/2
