I purchased the kit from Easternmotorwerks. Kit was perfect but at the time the folks at Eastern didn't really have their act together. Took a very long time to get everything. Some part was constantly out of stock, but it all finally showed up. This included the replacement for the console sunglass holder and the JTD oil distribution block plus all gauges and wiring. Bavarial Auto sells all the pieces as well but you have to order all individually and make sure you get the right gauges and sending units. I'm very happy with the kit, even the gauge light color matches to the point my wife thought it was OEM. My advice would be to get lots of the compression washers used to seal the sending units. I went through a bunch getting the oil idiot light sender to stop leaking. Luckily Honda uses the same size compression washers if you can't get to a BMW dealer easily. They said that the E46 had 6 Ind throttle butterflies where the E36 had 3. Do the two engines have the same 6 throttle bodies but different # of butterflies? And what are the butterflies? The cloce face has the look of a MINI speedo. A light sensor automatically stops the noise during the night <ben: thank goodness because it's loud> and, if you really want to, the engine sound can be switched off permanently (boo!)." you can checkout the mini cuckoo clock on the www.mini.com site (be sure to click on the UK version) or click here: http://www.benliaw.com/images/mini_clock.jpg it does have a BMW part number (#8026 0 025 667) and retails for approximately US$60. for those overseas, i'm sure your BMW dealer can get it for you, that is, until they start blocking that number. ben liaw

This is due to the air intake inhaling hot air from the radiator, aided by the cooling fan. Your options, in increasing order of sophistication and cost are: 1) Make an airbox/shield yourself. I've seen plenty of these. 2) Buy the ECIS cold air intake. 3) Buy the Conforti intake (what I have). The wall of the airbox also provides a home for the displaced sensor. I forget where the canister goes, but we managed to relocate it OK on a friend's car.

On my drive to work this morning I could have sworn I had 6 throttle bodies. The car is so comfortable I didn't realize I was going 80 in a 35 zone. Needless to say I gave the brakes a good workout. I can't imagine how much the car would pull if it did have the more expensive head:-) Ed --- Ben Liaw - UUC Motorwerks <ben@shortshifter.com> wrote: > the Euro E36 M3 motors do have 6 throttle bodies, > but they're connect in > pairs (hence, 3 pairs). __________________________________________________ Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! However, the lack of clips on the inboard pads makes them rattle. Around the track, with everyone's brakes squealing and rattling, it doesn't really matter. But, if you need to do any off-track driving with these pads, you may find yourself avoiding people's glances as they look at your car and wonder when you're going to fix your crappy brakes! ;-) I believe that the R4 pads have clips on the inboard pads. I'm going to give them a try when my PF90s are worn. So far, the PF90s have withstood five track days at Summit Point (three on the main track, two on the Jefferson circuit), and there's plenty of pad left. -rb >Date: Wed, 31 Jan 2001 13:05:43 -0500 >From: Robert Jackowitz <RJackowitz@HARVPART.COM> >Subject: RE: [E36M3] the perennial track pad thread! > > > R4's? Mark, It's hard to see but if you take the stock airbox & MAF out, you'll see that the canister is held in place by 2 nuts. Remove both nuts & mount canister w/top screw in the lower bracket hole. After that I had enough clearance for my Euro MAF (or HFM) & the canister hasn't moved at all in almost 2 years even though it's held by only 1 screw/nut. Good luck & enjoy the beautiful intake melody!
