What the lady is trying to say is, when you turn 25 come into the office. There she will: 1. Rewrite your policy. This is key, because when they rewrite ANY policy, the rate is then re-evaluated. Chester...Rates just don't automatically get reduced because of random events outside their little State Farm insurance world (like Chester's birthday)...that is, they don't run some "mainframe batch" SQL program everynight that says: SELECT FROM HOLDERS.POLICIES NAME, RATE, DAYOFBIRTH, YEAROFBIRTH WHERE (TODAY = DAYOFBIRTH) ; today is your birthday AND (THISYEAR - YEAROFBIRTH) = 25 ; you just turned 25 UPDATE RATE = NEW_LOWRATE_FOR_CHESTER_AND_FRIENDS Chester...this adjustment just doesn't happen...unless the state passes a law allowing insurance companies to raise (or telling them to lower) rates. They have better computer programs to run...like figuring out who to drop from coverage! Why should they spend computer time running SQL Queries & programs to "Data Mine"...looking for ways to reduce your rates? That is your problem! 2. Now, to rewrite your policy...your agent needs an excuse! An excuse could be just about anything: adding a 2nd car, deleting a 2nd car, etc. In your case, switching to State Farms "MPP" (Monthly Payment Plan) will be enough excuse for her to rewrite your policy. BTW, I have the Monthly Payment Plan (MPP) too. It is a good way to pay as you go. My camera and jewelry riders are on it too. Anytime you add home or auto coverage, it will just go on the MPP. You'll never have to write another big check all at once. Your agent is going to help you, because she knows that the reduction won't happen automatically. But don't expect her to explain every "why & howcome?" to you, cause really...she probably doesn't know! 3. Lastly, in NY state, ask if State Farm offers a GRP policy...this stands for Guaranteed Renewable Policy. If you can get this...you are GOLDEN with State Farm. They cannot drop you, no matter how many accidents you get in the future. Not all states have this, due to state regulation. How do you get a GRP? You have to go TEN years without a single accident. I have one! It is great. NOW RECORD KEEPING IS UP TO YOU! IT SHOULDN'T BE, BUT IT IS. Save a copy of your declaration page ("dec pages") for every year you have State Farm... because if you switch agents/policies/... it screws up their recording keeping (their ability to RUN SQL statements to find all customers who've been with them for ten years without accidents). So, hopefully by the time you are 35 or so, you can get your GRP policy (I have one now!) I drive on track with peace of mind! They cannot force me to sign a rider saying "no more track events" Mr. Bogard, because you wreck too much at driving school! Sign the rider or we don't give you coverage!" Now...they can raise my rates higher than the GDP, but that is a different matter... If you don't have copies of all your "dec" pages, then dig out copies of your cancelled checks with your State Farm account number written in at the bottom (you do this, don't you?). And make sure you keep these FOR TEN YEARS! - Skip Chester Wong wrote: > > Date: Tue, 20 Feb 2001 21:03:28 -0800 (PST) > From: Chester Wong <chester_p_wong@yahoo.com> > Subject: Insurance question (pertaining to State Farms) > > Hi guys...got a question. Also I noticed yesterday the Grassroots motorsport article on the M and I thought it was great and if you didn't read it I highly suggest it. 98 M3 _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/

("Strictly BMW" in bellevue WA) they are authorized to perform service which will keep my warrenty intact. the "routine services" are still the same price, but they actually DO check stuff, and "go the extra mile" and give you $450 worth of labor. in fact... they insist that you leave the car there for 8 hours at least. because they're doing that much work. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

It's an Aluminum ring that bolts onto the shifter and takes out some of the slop from it being filled with rubber... designed to make the shifter feel more positive. I like it, I think. I might try taking it off and seeing if the vibration is worth the better snicky feeling. :) -kit

For some reason most people think that powerful car= sports car and that the more power a car have the the sportier the car. And those same people wonder why a Miata is a Sports car when it "only" have 140hp. Oh well... Joe T. ------------- "Sean Hester" <seanh_race@hotmail.com> wrote: anyone that thinks the e46 M3 is more of a "sports car" then the e36 M3 (or e30 M3) doesn't know what a "sports car" is. big, heavy, technically loaded, large engine cars are just that.
