Are all M3's that way? Anybody out there with a coupe and an ashtray in the center console. Was this an option? Is there a way to retrofit an ash tray somewhere? Where would you fit it? Juan.

(And in case anyone is curious, cats are covered til 80,000 miles :-)) Cheers, Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 - outside of ALL the above warranty periods :-)

On my '97 M3 I had a modular center console with 2 cupholders (the infamous eject-o-matics), an ashtray, and a coinholder. These 4 pieces snapped into a plastic tray thingy, this tray snapped into the bottom of the center console. I removed all this because I never used the cupholders or ashtray and gained a handy cell-phone & miscelaneous junk cubbyhole. Anyway, I seem to recall (correct me if I'm wrong) the earlier 95 M3's did not have this modular center console, but instead had a center console with 2 cupholders and something else, all in one bigger piece. These two might be interchangeable, that would get you your ashtray. I can take a look on my removed assembly at home for part numbers. Andrej > Juan, > You know you're being an idiot. They probably dont hold up very well in the M3 application. They are not that good honostly. I have used 2 sets on my 535i, both sets warped fairly easy and did not hold up as well as the stock replacement rotors. Also about a 3rd of the ones we install in the shop come back due to warping. We DO NOT offer them anymore. YMMV. Mike
