#1. Throttle Body Recall - from Scott Chan
Top
Date: Thu, 01 Mar 2001 09:55:01 -0800 From: Scott Chan <scottch@juniper.net> Subject: Throttle Body Recall This sounds just like a problem frequently found on E30 (at least E30 M3s). The stupid rubber cable bushings near the linkage starts crumbling and comes loose, the throttle or cruise control cable gets out of whack, and the throttle won't close all the way. The usual solution was replace the bushing and put a zip tie or safety wire around it so it won't pop out again. Getting rid of the cruise control helps too. -- Scott '95 M3 LTW no stinkin cruise control

Peas and Rice! Folks, if you don't know the answer, sometimes it's better to keep your _guesses_ to yourself. Bad info can be worse than no info at all You can run A032 any which way you want - not a guess mind you, but the official word from Yokohama (and repeated on Tire Rack's web site) Sheesh! Rob 93 E36

Date: Thu, 1 Mar 2001 15:18:33 -0500 From: "Dorffer, Rich" <RDORFFER@CleIndians.com> Subject: Re: Question on Yok A032 tire rotation I am not trying to be repetitive (Neil Maller) but I also have been told by at least six different guys who will run them backwards in the dry. I have also seen them used backwards at a very wet Nelson Ledges but the driver was not knowingly doing this by choice and he thought they were installed in the proper direction. I have also received an email from Yokohama that said it was perfectly acceptable but wet traction would be the equivalent of a slick tire if ever used in the rain. Jonathan also mentioned potential tread patterns cracking due to tread separation from running a directional tire backwards but I do not believe that would be an issue with the Yokohama AO32-R's since the grooves are so widely spaced in the tread pattern. Disclaimer: I am not a tire engineer (although a couple of my friends are) nor did I stay at a Howard Johnson's last night. Regards, Rich 95 M3 - Looking forward to running my AO32-Rs in both directions this summer.

#7. anyone buy rest of cage after installing TC Kline rollbar? - from Dave Spragg

Date: Thu, 1 Mar 2001 15:23:47 -0500 From: "Dave Spragg" <dspragg@mediaone.net> Subject: anyone buy rest of cage after installing TC Kline rollbar? I think I want to complete the TC Kline bolt in setup in my 1992 318is (now with 95 M3 motor, dash, suspension, interior, and just about everything else). I am looking for advice on the amount of destruction I need to do to the interior to accomplish this as well as some other info. Does this cage meet BMW CCA Club Racing specs for this year? Does this cage meet SCCA road racing specs for this year? (note... I don't know classes well but the supercharger will be out of the car for racing) Any other info I should know? I am supposing this is not as good a solution as a several thousand dollar German DTM copy welded in cage safety wise but anything else? #10. Rear spoiler, NOT wing - from =?iso-8859-1?Q?Magnus_Thom=E9?=

I found the ABP Tuning E46 M3-lookalike spoiler which looks like a good option. I'm very curious if anyone in the list has this and has any opinions about it? The only other spoiler I've found is AC Schnitzers 3-piece rear spoiler which looks a bit more aggresive. Thanks!!! /Magnus Thomé
