#1. [UUC] Source for 14mm Allen Socket - from Dorffer, Rich

Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2001 16:34:50 -0500 From: "Dorffer, Rich" <RDORFFER@CleIndians.com> Subject: [UUC] Source for 14mm Allen Socket Colin asks > Anyone know where to buy a 14mm allen-head socket (3/8")? It's for changing the rear diff. fluid. You can get the 14mm allen-head socket in 3/8" drive from both Facom and Snap-On (among others probably): http://www.snapon.com/ (for Snap-On or visit your local shop/Snap-On distributor. I do not recall the exact part number but it does exist) http://www.ultimategarage.com/home.html (for Facom just go to Steve D.) One can also make one but I had difficulty locating a 14 allen wrench to cut a piece off in order to insert it into a 3/8" drive 14mm socket any cheaper than just buying the Facom or Snap-On. Regards, Rich

I am trying to argue it is part of the emisson system. Any ideas? bob Does anyone have any experience with a catalytic converter going and it not being covered under the extended warranty. Were you successful in getting it covered? My dealer says mine needs to be replaced and the cost is $1,200.00 Bob Weber bobweber@bellsouth.net Cats are covered under the *original* warranty to 80,000 miles - at least mine was on my '98. That proves it's part of the emissions system. Try that for an arguement. If that doesn't work, sounds like a small claims court case to me. Nick

I think I want to complete the TC Kline bolt in setup in my 1992 318is (now with 95 M3 motor, dash, suspension, interior, and just about everything else). I am looking for advice on the amount of destruction I need to do to the interior to accomplish this as well as some other info. Does this cage meet BMW CCA Club Racing specs for this year? Does this cage meet SCCA road racing specs for this year? (note... I don't know classes well but the supercharger will be out of the car for racing) Any other info I should know? I am supposing this is not as good a solution as a several thousand dollar German DTM copy welded in cage safety wise but anything else? Thanks, Dave Spragg dave@spragg.com Natick, MA 99 M3 Sharked 92 330is Sharked and Supercharged >> I tried to upgrade my roll bar but could not get TC's office to return my calls or e-mails. So, I'll probably have a custom cage done which will be stronger and not much more money. Wish they were more responsive. Ken Brinkman Silver 1997 M3
