Suzy -------- Original Message -------- Subject: RE: Driver's window fell off track? Date: Wed, 7 Mar 2001 08:58:32 -0800 (PST) From: Jason Leung <bmwturbo@yahoo.com> Reply-To: jleung20@flash.net To: suzy@bmw-m.net Anybody with an e36 ever have the power window (driver's side in my case) stop working? In my case (a 4 door) I pushed the power window button to make the window go down. The window went down a few inches and I heard a big KERCHUNK! and the window stopped. It wouldn't go up OR down even though I could hear the motor in the door spinning away. I finally had to use my hands to force the window back up so that I could park the car and get to work! Perhaps the window fell off its track? My question is this: Anyone fix this before? Is it difficult? Am I going to have to buy parts or is it a simple "put the stuff back together and make sure its bolted in real tight" type of thing? Granted, I am marginally-fair when it comes to competence with tools. I can change brake pads, waterpumps, and radiators...even change rear VW brake pads using Herculean strength by twisting the %$#%@ piston and pushing it back in at the same time <grrrrr......> I can even swap suspensions, but its never a fun event and definitely laced with expletives! ;-) Thanks Jason Leung 92 332i

At some point or another when I was swapping seats, it appears that my seat belt tensioner tensioned. whoops. I disarmed it as soon as it was out of the car and rearmed right before I put it in, dunno what happened. Is it possible to get the power seat tensioners to "un-tension?" failing that, anyone have a driver's side seat belt tensioner (for a power seat) for sale? failing that, anyone have the part number for said part? thanks! -kit 97 m3/4

I already have AA pedals in my car...just thought the link > would be useful to some. I have to disagree with the former statement here. I have a set of Momo LeMans pedals w/ a Momo Tuner Dead Pedal in my '95 M3 and they're great. Unlike the Sparco's, they're the _exact_ size of the E36 pedals, so using them to adjust the spacing between brake and throttle is not possible. However, the rubber grip really holds your feet (no chance of slip during heel/toe), and the aluminum looks great. Most of my interior has been spruced up with Momo, so I'm a little biased in that I really like their stuff. Just FYI, I contacted someone who was selling on eBay directly and got the pedals for $45. It also helped that I bought the door sill covers, harness pads, and a replacement leather shift boot at the same time. ;-) -p ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using HiSpeed Technologies Webmail. http://www.hispeed.com
