Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 11:39:34 -0700 From: "Andrew E. Kalman" <aek@pumpkininc.com> Subject: [FS]: [OT]: Leer TSC600 Hard Bed Cover for Late-model Ford F-150 Pickup Before I post this on the 'net, I thought I'd offer it here. Permission granted to post freely. FOR SALE: Fiberglass one-piece hinged bed cover for 1997 and later Ford F-150 standard bed pick-ups. MODEL: Leer TSC600, with pneumatic lifting assist and single locking T-handle. COLOR: Matches 1997 Ford F-150 "Pacific Green Clearcoat". CONDITION: Very good - minor chip at front right corner, and a few small scratches. Complete with all mounting hardware and two keys. NOTES: This is a very nice unit. I used this for 4 years on two leased F-150s (one green, one silver). It's a very high-quality unit, and together with the F-150's locking tailgate allows you to store your valuables safely out of sight. Costs $600+ new. TERMS: $250 or best offer. This is a CASH-ONLY sale, and buyer must pick up unit IN PERSON in Redwood City, CA. I.e. shipping is totally out of the question. Bring a friend -- it weighs around 150 lbs -- and drive away with a nice, nearly-new bed cover. IMAGES: The images below look pretty blue -- probably due to my scanner. But rest assured the top is really Pacific Green Clearcoat. http://www.pumpkininc.com/images/other/TSC600-1.jpg http://www.pumpkininc.com/images/other/TSC600-2.jpg http://www.pumpkininc.com/images/other/TSC600-3.jpg CONTACT: Andrew @ aek@pumpkininc.com or (415) 584-6360. -- ______________________________________ Andrew E. Mark, Two things come to mind: - side airbags became standard up front and optional in the back in '98 MY. - 4 dr M3 was available only in '97-'98 - later cars saw previously "optional" items become "standard". Optional is in quotes since even though sunroofs, OBC's and leather interior may have been optional in '95 or later M3s you will be hard pressed to find one without them. - a few colors (Byzanz, Fern green, Titanium silver, etc) were available in select years For the more info, try www.bmwusa.com -> Certified Pre-Owned -> Model Library alex f

Should be done this week though. You have to hate it when your car takes nearly 15 months to fix!! I assume you meant 1/3/01. Nearly three months is long enough though. Hope she is as good as new when you get her back. Regards, Rich Taking a break from work to make fun of the same mistakes I am typically guilty of!!

#8. Warped Rotors - from Steve Sun

Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 15:19:19 -0600 (CST) From: Steve Sun <stevesun@midway.uchicago.edu> Subject: Warped Rotors Hi List, About a week ago, I found that my steering wheel wobbled under moderate braking, a sure sign of warped rotors. The weird thing is that there is no shake under extreme or light braking. Is there another possibility? I have not been to the track in the M since June, and the car has ~12K miles and it is on its original set of rotors. Can warped rotors develop suddenly without anything to cause it? I'm currently running R4S pads. I'd like to replace the rotors with Euro floating ones. Where is the best/cheapest place to buy these? Thanks in advance, Steve

Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 16:22:05 -0500 From: Bob Weber <bobweber@bellsouth.net> Subject: cat arbitration Hello, My situation with Easy Care denying my catalytic converter claim is reaching the arbitration phase. Does anyone have any suggestions to prove the cat is part of the emission system and not the exhaust system. In my BMW warranty book they refer to the emission system numerous times but never an exhaust system. Or am I fighting a lost $1200.00 cause. Thanks bob 98 M3/4

The EPA's Clean air act clearly refers to the catalytic converter as an emmissions control device. Go to epa.gov and do a search for 'catalytic converter.' Or find the text of the act, referenced on that same web site.
