It'll match better with the rest of the parts that are being repainted. Plus, if you decided later on to get the hood repainted, you'd have to lose use of the car for a few days. Doing it while it's already in the shop avoids that. Nick > repainted. The question is, tada! Should I get the stone chips on the hood > taken care of at the same time? #6. OT: Wireless Lan - from Jim Powell
Top
Date: Fri, 16 Mar 2001 07:53:47 -0800 From: Jim Powell <jsp98m3@apexcone.com> Subject: OT: Wireless Lan Please reply off list. I want to add more computers to the Worldwide Powell Network. The WPN now consists of a Cable modem connected to a Netgear firewall and 100 Mbit data switch. From there it goes to 4 different rooms by Cat 5. My problem is that I want more computers hooked up in more places. And I want to use a wireless PDA (HP) and add a network connection in the garage and maybe in the car to download MP3s to a trunk mounted unit and, and, and ..... BwaaaHaaaaHaaaa!!!! I want data everywhere! I want data in every orifice* in the house and a few in the neighbor girl behind me. :) Recommendations? Expected data rates? I need answers, people. I need professional help too. But that would leak to the police and prevent me from owning firearms. I await a download. Jim * This should not be construed as a solicitation to sell orifices. Those days are over.

They did a write up a month or 2 ago comparing wireless networks and routers. I've settled for a nice Linksys router, 10mpbs down, 100mbps inside my network all over Cat 5. If you can't sneak it through the walls, pick a contrasting color and hang in on the walls as modern art. Just don't do straight lines, curve it around some. Most of the elite SoCal folks who buy twisted metal as art will probably believe you. That may even be an idea for making some money out of cars that hit the Armco. Sell as modern art at the seaside fairs(probably work in my area also).
