I believe most are due to the rubber hose separating from the crimped fitting. Speculation as to the cause is that the motor is moving in the engine bay such that it stretches the hose and pulls the fitting right off the hose. Make sure your motor mounts are OK. Geof

Put your finger into the hole at the top of your sunglass holder onto the back of the OBC and pull forward. Try gently at first, increasing pressure until it pops out. There's a funky cam-like plug on the back. Should be obvious how it works. Then the bulbs are the little nut-looking things (usually black). Make sure you get the same exact ones. They made them with black or white plastic, and I couldn't get the white kind to fit into my 97 M3/2. Installation is merely the reverse of disassembly, as the English say. Hope this helps. -Paul > Date: Mon, 19 Mar 2001 10:27:36 -0800 > From: Steve Tom <stom@qualcomm.com> > Subject: Help with OBC Clock > > My clock on the OBC started to fade and then eventually went out the same > day. However, the graph on Turner's site has an X-axis of MPH, making the conversion back to Torque somewhat more difficult, especially without gear ratios, tire size, etc. need to calculate RPM. John

Does anyone offer a header to exhaust high flow cat type pipe to help me eek some more power outta my S/Ced M3? will headers and a high-flow cat = give me 20-30 ponies? Any info on where i can get a high-flow cat or resonator section or basically anything besides an exhaust would be great. I know bmp has = the SS stuff BTW. Thanks, Frank =20

I run at Thunderhill in the summer 100+ days sometimes, and I would like the extra cooling capacity with the supercharger. Redline quotes as having superior corrosion restance than Antifreeze, and water has much better cooling properties. The car never sees freezing conditions, and this would be a summer only setup. In front, I use a 10mm spacer from Steve D. They don't rub in front or rear, but I do have stock ride height. In the rear, camber and toe may cause rubbing if you don't have enough camber, or you have too much toe in. They might hit in front with stock camber if the car was lowered, but in that case, you would probably have more camber and be OK. Date: Tue, 20 Mar 2001 00:45:34 EST From: LoweSeaton@aol.com Subject: Re: [E36M3] 8.5 inch Contours on the front and rear 95 M3 Bora, I have almost the exact same set up on my '95 M3 - 8.5 inch BMW polished forged rims, Dinan springs, Toyo 235/45-17 R tires. All M3 rims have 41 mm offset so all 8.5 inch rims fit the same - style does not matter. My front wheels fit perfectly. No rubbing at all. There is very little clearance but no rubbing. The problem will be on the rear. I have very slight rubbing on the fender lip on one of the rear tires if I hit a big dip in the road. Not really a problem. I would recommend against the 45 series tires. They are very tall. Too tall in my opinion. Supposedly Toyo is coming out with 235/40-17 and/or 245/40-17 tires soon. See if you can get them. The shorter 40 series tires will be better for gearing, especially with a '95 M3. Plus, the 4 inch high sidewalls look goofy on an M3. I like my Toyo R-tires. I have put 9,000 miles on them on the street and they are only about 1/2 worn out. They have worked well through the Dallas monsoon winter. Lowell Seaton '95 M3 Dallas, Texas

I ran waterwetter in two cars with the factory recommended anti-freeze combo: VW Corrado G60 (also supercharged and with an overdrive pulley making 16psi of boost, yes 16 ;-) Porsche 928 S4 (no power improvements needed) In both cars, I did get the water temp reduction and no immediate or long term (2 years) ill effects. The Corrado lived in CA, MA and AZ and no problems. Your mileage may vary.
