Daddy's checkbook. 2.) Spending an inheritance, none to wisely. 3.) Computer / software geek. 4.) Drug dealer. Three out of four ain't bad. Rich 95 ///M3

It says STEALERS asking price not MSRP. Same as the Z8 selling for $250,000.00 instead of the $128,000.00 MSRP. Lloyd

#4. [E36M3] Supersprint Center Section Q - from RogRacer@aol.com
Top
Date: Wed, 28 Mar 2001 08:44:08 EST From: RogRacer@aol.com Subject: [E36M3] Supersprint Center Section Q Could someone clarify if the Supersprint center section (catless resonator) mounts to the factory exhaust manifold or not. From the pictures it looks like it only attaches to the Supersprint headers. Also, it does not appear to have provision for an O2 sensor. The write-up on the Supersprint web page is not clear on this...I'm betting it only is intended for use with their headers; likewise, it would appear their headers (which DOES have a O2 provision) will only interface to this catless centersection. Can someone will me in? TIA, Roger W. Graves RogRacer@aol.com '95 M3

I do know that the SS headers will bolt up to the factory cats but you have to shorten the factory center section to fit. The SS headers have the provision for the O2 sensor in them so I don't guess they needed to put one in the center piece. I do know that the SS headers are longer than the stock manifold. So if you were to install the center piece, my guess is that it would be too short to reach the factory manifold. I might be wrong. I spoke to my salesman yesterday for the first time about price (he had called to ask me to come down to spec out the car). I was expecting to just hang up the phone when he asked me for some "market adjustment." Instead, he just told me I was crazy when I asked about markup - MSRP for me. That said, I'm even more disappointed since I believe the other market adjustments have taken me out of the game this year. (I'm putting off the final, "no thanks" until tomorrow though. - John _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/

#9. Power steering noise - from Luis Rueda

Date: Wed, 28 Mar 2001 10:02:27 -0500 From: "Luis Rueda" <Luis_Rueda@INTERLIANT.COM> Subject: Power steering noise Fellow digesters, I just had 2 of my power steering hoses (the ones that are sold by bulk, not the pressure ones) by a local BMW shop & now the power steering is making a loud whirl noise when I turn. I inquiered the shop owner about it he said that the filter inside the reservoir may have been be clogged & the reservoir may need to be replaced. If the noise doesn't go away, then replace the steering rack. The steering wasn't making that noise prior to the hoses replacement, do you guys think they could have done something to cause this? Thanks, Luis BMWCCA member '95M3
