It felt as if there was something stuck under the peddle and I could feel the ABS pumping the brakes. I have not had this happen before, is this normal or any suggestions on what to check. Tony 95 M3

Date: Thu, 29 Mar 2001 18:57:14 EST From: Mdriver13@aol.com Subject: more e46M3 vs. e36M3 Well, it's true...as much as I would like to talk down the new M3 it is a great leap forward for all of us in the USA. Even the SCCA has classified it SS while the e36M3 remains in AS. Almost every production sports car today is made to understeer to protect the average driver. Those of us who need more performance will modify the car and it will be awesome! I can tell you honestly, I am content with my e36M3. Why, two reasons; I like my stinking color...Techno Violet...can't get it on the new car...well not many people like it...but I do ;-)) Second, I really like the cockpit feel of my car...I spend most of my time driving, not looking at it from the outside...so interior fit and feel are very important to me. Now, if and when the V8 version of this new fine machine comes to pass with a few new colors and some interior changes...all bets are off. I can only hope it coincises with a big stock market rally ;-)) Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA AS Champion 1997 & 2000 #13 BSP 2001

We have a winnah! Tom Milner can (and will) say anything he wants to about aerodynamics and chassis stiffness. It comes down to what chassis BMW wants to provide him and what the cost/benefit of that is in terms of PTG winning races and BMW selling cars. With the roll cages they run the stock chassis stiffness is a totally moot question. I could buy the aerodynamics idea slightly more, but these still are relative low speed, low power, big race cars by race car standards. The add on aerodynamic package they put on should be able to easily overcome any differences between the two chassis at the speeds they run. -- Ron Katona
