It really is only useful at home, not at the event. But as an afordable way to get just a bit of real data like real race cars have, it can't be beat. I've used the "lapping day" software recently. Saved all 13 laps or so from a 20~25 min. session. Again, a bunch of time spent splitting these into the laps. But when done I get speed, rpm, lateral G, braking G, lots of good stuff. The latches on the seats have a red button on the top that rattles on every bump and can drive you crazy. The dealer says it's normal?? Is there anyway to take out the button or at least quiet it down? Thanks JOHN ===== ///M3's and Jet Skis/// __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Date: Fri, 6 Apr 2001 08:02:31 -0700 (PDT) From: Chester Wong <chester_p_wong@yahoo.com> Subject: Gauge cluster or dash rattle Well guys, I have this rattle that's emanating from the instrument cluster area (or behind it). It happens when goes over bumps and when the car is idling at a cold startup (just a rougher idle, I guess). Just wondering if anyone has experienced this in the past and what steps were taken to fix it. I'd like to open it up, but I'm afraid that I'd be unable to actually find the part that's making the noise since the car won't be moving then. TIA, Chester ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get email at your own domain with Yahoo! Mail. http://personal.mail.yahoo.com/

For those w/Dinan suspensions would you mind answering a few questions for me. Which Dinan suspension did you install? _ Stage 1 _ Stage 2 _ Stage 3 Would you do it again? _ Yes _ No Did you modify the set-up? If so how? How is the street performance? How is the track performance? How is the autocross performance? Do you feel your Dinan suspension provides a good balance between comfort and performance? Thanks! #10. 3.0 E36 M3 in BMW CCA I-Prepared with hot cams? - from Dave Spragg
Top
Date: Fri, 6 Apr 2001 11:44:04 -0400 From: "Dave Spragg" <dspragg@mediaone.net> Subject: 3.0 E36 M3 in BMW CCA I-Prepared with hot cams? Club racers out there? I am looking at whether or not my 92 318is that has been upgraded to 95 M3 parts throughout will be competitive in I-Prepared if I remove the supercharger and run it. The BMW Club Racing rules say that cam changes are allowed but they do not allow for fuel injector changes as I read them. Given this is there a cam kit out there that will really make more power and still be safe for the engine with stock injectors? The whole thread about the 300 hp kit with cams, chip, and injectors made me think my car would be a serious underdog without them but now I am changing my mind. Anyone in the know on this?
