Interesting. Rebuilding the caliper isn't especially difficult, and doesn't strike me as inherently more fraught with risk than many other common repair procedures. And of course M3 calipers are rather pricey. >> However the dealer's probably not enough of an idiot to either keep on >> replacing calipers or to continually rebuild them under warranty. The wires are there behind the panel. There are 2 studs, and a nutsert to be used to mount. It should only take about 5 minutes. There are 2 sets of wires that just plug in. #6. Touring car and Formula One in Germany in June: how??? - from Marc.S.Edwards@QuestDiagnostics.com

Date: Sun, 8 Apr 2001 22:21:49 -0700 From: Marc.S.Edwards@QuestDiagnostics.com Subject: Touring car and Formula One in Germany in June: how??? All; I am planning a trip to Europe in June on a combination of business and pleasure. The dates that I have chosen coincide with a couple of car racing events in Germany. The first is the German touring car series with a race on June 17 at the Sachsenring. Has anybody here attended one of these events in Germany and if so how did you do it? Where did you get tickets or did you just get on a train and show up to the event and got in? Where is the Sachsenring? (nearest large town would help find it). Also, the Formula One Grand Prix of Europe is to be held at Nurburg, Germany on June 24. Has anyone here attended an F1 race there? Is this the "Nurburgring" at Nurburg? How did you do this? Did you make arrangements through a US travel agent or broker or someone, or, did you buy the tickets in Europe at a travel agent? What kind of agents sell these tickets? Of course I will be cheering for any BMWs on the track (or the street for that matter) no matter where the venue. And, I will likely be in Paris prior to June 17 and then in Brussels just prior to June 24. Thanks for you indulgence, Marc 1995 M3 LTW

I use it for everything from cleaning hands, cleaning my tools, to (gasp!) cleaning tar and crap off of the paint. Clean up your mess then wash with soap and water. I find it works better than most claening agents. Eric 95 M3 00 Passat Wagon

It's a funny thing. I got really pissed at my sway bars squeaking (on a previous car) and doused them in WD40. It killed the squeak... until morning, when it was at least twice at loud. Scratching my head, I realized that WD40 dissolves the grease! It's also great for getting tar off your paint, just make sure to throughly wash and wax afterwards... :) -kit, who finds eau de WD40 really gets the chicks goin'... ;)

Swapping out the rear shock mounts didn't help. The old stock ones were fine and I replaced them with stock ones. Figure I'll have to do it again in 50k, but the installation was pretty easy. I'm ready to throw money at this problem. I know when I'm beat. To the mechanic we go. I'll update the list as to what it is. On another note, just got my Bentley! Talk about bed time reading, this thing is great! Jonathan Evans 95 M3 Raleigh
