If I remember, the cars are pre-wired so all you have to do is plug in the controll unit and move and plug in the siren. I don't think it requires any new wiring but I may be corrected. Hello, Still making the transition to the M3, I need to track down a means of carrying a couple of bikes. I have a Yakima roof rack that I used on my Nissan, and I think it will do the trick on the M3 if I get new mounting clips (Yakima part Q18?). Is anyone using a roof rack on the M3? Experience with the Yakima? Anything special I need to know? Did you get proper fitment as a "3-series sedan," even though its a coupe? Jim 98 M3/2

Definitely the best look. You may hear some arguments about Dinan vs Conforti for the OBDII cars, but I think that since you have a '95 the Conforti setup is hands down the best. - John S. _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/

But back to the topic at hand. I personally would go with the Jim C. It is a lot easier to maintain and looks good too. While it does not have the carbon fiber look to it still looks as if BMW put it there. The next thing you will hear from this list will probably be to use the ECIS instead of the Jim C. That is your choice but I have the Jim C Euro intake on my car and I would buy it again. I think it is a better product all around than the ECIS. My opinion though. When you do get one, spend the extra and get the Euro kit. It makes a huge difference and you will not regret it. #8. E46 M3 test drive report 276 - from Dave Spragg

Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2001 14:21:09 -0400 From: "Dave Spragg" <dspragg@mediaone.net> Subject: E46 M3 test drive report 276 Given what I had read here I was prepared to be disappointed. I wasn't, the one I drove was a screamer as well as a total hoot. The car will blow away an E36 M3 in any performance contest I can think of and it has lot's of other great attributes. And it better as the car had a sticker price of $52,700. Is it worth that much money? It sure as hell is. It sounds GREAT, it goes like a scalded cat, the sport button makes throttle response fantastically sensitive yet precise, you can dab a little brake while on the throttle and bring the rear around or stab a bit (not too much :) ) at the throttle and bring it around, it lays down power and stays hooked up out of a corner better than any Bimmer I have ever driven, it stops like mad and tells you what it's doing, it has a relaxed 6th gear for the highway... can you tell I liked the whole package. Well, the tires it comes on are nothing to brag about but even with that handicap the thing kicks ass. Please someone in the Boston area buy one, I will buy the stickies and return with you to autocrossing for 2 or 3 events before I disappear. ;) Dave Spragg dave@spragg.com Natick, MA 99 M3 Sharked 92 330is Sharked and Supercharged
