Is anyone on this list going to Bimmerfest at Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara this weekend? Wouldn't mind putting some faces with the names and seeing some of you that I already know. Plus, I'm looking forward to a free lunch. ;) Also, just wondering who's venturing out to Buttonwillow for the club races this weekend. I'm going to try my hardest to get out there for some fun viewing on Sunday, but I'm not certain yet. Feel free to respond off the list if you prefer. I can't imagine the temperature characteristics much different than that of other aftermarket pads out there. As for the EBC, they make 3 different pads; green, red and yellow, street, part track time and racing (respectively). I believe that they no longer recommend the yellow or the red but are okay with the green. steve At 12:35 PM 4/19/01 -0700, twisty M3 wrote: >I would have to say yes on this one. Laguna Seca blue is pretty much French racing blue, for those who've been around long enough to remember when F1 cars raced under national colours. You can drive me around for lunch tomorrow and > I'll observe your braking technique. :) ..... > Jim I installed new PF90's a few weeks ago after also getting my floating discs refurbished. Did some basic bedding in. Went to a track meet this monday. The brakes didn't fade! I was very happy. Did a bunch of 30 minute sessions driving some 150 km during the day. Then I looked at my pads and discs before going home. Whoaw! Heavily grooved discs. Not that it hurts the braking but it scares me about their longevity! I know to brake short and hard and not soft for a longer distance to save the brakes from overheating. What else can I do? Don't tell me to go slower ;-) /Magnus Thomé M3/4 3.2 PS: I might have used the wrong word here and there trying to explain. That comes from me being Swedish ;-) PS2: The track meet was great! Me in the only BMW at a Porsche Racing training day :-)

#7. resale value of e36M3s up? - from Mdriver13@aol.com

Date: Thu, 19 Apr 2001 19:13:45 EDT From: Mdriver13@aol.com Subject: resale value of e36M3s up? To all, For those of you interested in selling or the value of our beloved e36M3, just look at the current issue of AutoWeek (4/23/01). Seems like the markup on the e46M3 has hit our cars too!!! I'd say about $5K increase for now. Wonder if they'll sell, after all, it takes MSRP(52K) + Markup(5K to 15K) to buy a new one ;-)) Cheers, Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA AS Champion 1997 & 2000 #13 BSP 2001

Go figure... It works great, but I got really aggressive with it and cracked my paint in a few places around the fenders. Can you say touch-up? The 245 Hoosiers rubbed too much in the rear to even drive the car before rolling. Now there's adequate fender clearance. FWIW, YMMV, ETC. Dave Hogg '95 M3
