Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 10:21:44 US/Pacific From: peter@guagenti.com Subject: '99 M 3-spoke steering wheel into '95 M3 Not to completely re-hash an old thread, but we had a discussion around this some months ago and I've lost my old mail. I have recently purchased a 3-spoke steering wheel from a '99 to install in my '95, and someone on the list was kind enough to have sent me the part I needed to make this conversion work (some sort of lock-ring) and the install instructions. If that kind soul would please send that mail out again I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. -peterg '95 Cosmos M3 (soon to have a 3-spoke wheel and Schnitzer aluminum gauges) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using HiSpeed Technologies Webmail. http://www.hispeed.com

Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 10:34:58 -0700 (PDT) From: John Pease <john_pease123@yahoo.com> Subject: thermostat housings The OE plastic housing has a small passage between the inlet and outlet. This passage is crucial to successful bleeding of the cooling system. Does the aluminium version also have this passage? I would like to experiment with adding a bleed nipple to the metal version of the housing. Is the Aluminium thick enough for thread tapping? If anyone knows of a good mount (to the passenger seat or something solid) please forward me the information. I paid close to twice > that for the Howe I put in the Mustang. you know how they say when something sounds too good to be true... :) I called performance radiator and their $250 radiator is basically a stock replacement... aluminum core, but plastic endtanks. :( For what it's worth, the M3 and the 325/328 e36 cars all used the same radiator. -kit

Date: Tue, 08 May 2001 22:39:06 From: "Ron Buchalski" <rbuchals@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: Diff fluid boil over Dave, The differential and transmission both have a vent on the top, to relieve pressure build-up inside the diff and transmission as things heat up inside. The cap on the vent floats up and down, so the pressure pushes it open, and the cap drops back down when the pressure is relieved. Is it possible that your diff was overfilled? -rb >Date: 7 May 2001 18:02:59 -0700 >From: dHoleman@spooze.com >Subject: Diff fluid boil over > >Last weekend at Road America I found that my diff was leaking.
