Drew, this is one of my favorite topics........I have no idea why folks think either of these plates effect ride quality, or degrade Shock Towers.............yada yada yada.......... They dont! Not one bit! Zero, nada, zippo...............I've chatted with fellow M3 drivers who also use the GC plates and they agree with me...I run the TC Kline plates BTW.....Please keep in mind that I run C/O's with the T C Kline custom spring perches up front......BUT there is no difference in ride quality, no sound issues, etc. What makes these plates worth every extra $ you spend on them is you don't lose Caster when you increase Camber..... I can run up to 4 degrees of Camber and still get 6-7 degrees of Caster.. Don't think you can easily switch these plates from a track/autocross setting to a Daily driver setting....Best off setting them up for the season and living with them :-) You'll have Toe issues to address............. I'm currently running 2.75 degrees of Neg Camber Front and 2 degrees rear..... Will be adding Camber to the fronts to decrease understeer because of my current Auto X setup with the softer rear springs... Anyone else want to chime in regarding this??? Regards, Steve 98M3/4 To many checkbook mods to list now... Is anyone running the TC Kline or Ground Control camber plates on their dual-use street/drivers' school car? Are the solid bearings destroying your shock towers or your kidneys? drew | 98M3/4 back from the body shop yesterday!

IIRC, the slushbox was only available in 95 coupes, 4-door models (97/98 only), and convertibles (98/99? -- not sure). i know the 96 model year did not offer 4-door models or convertibles, hence, no automatic. dan 96 M3 (no torque converter by definition) 88 325is (no torque converter by choice)

Model year 1997 was the last year. Not all individual components were orderable separately. 1. I believe the wood trim on the lux is different, for better or for worse, than the ones ordered as individual components, (fake?)burl vs French mappa?. Wooden door pulls and ash trays were unique to the lux. 2. The extended leather door trim is part of the lux package but I am not sure if they were not available after 97 because of side impact airbags. >3. Were the M contour wheels a no-cost option at some point or did they >always >have to come with some other package In 96, the Contours II were part of the lux package. Yes, I rode in a 1995 M3 lux/auto once. These were very late production and IIRC, only about 100 were built as 1995 model years. I only was aware of this one since I installed a JC chip, JC Intake and Euro HFM on this one. Rich 95 M3 - non lux/auto
