Drew, this is one of my favorite topics........I have no idea why folks think either of these plates effect ride quality, or degrade Shock Towers.............yada yada yada.......... They dont! Not one bit! Zero, nada, zippo...............I've chatted with fellow M3 drivers who also use the GC plates and they agree with me...I run the TC Kline plates BTW.....Please keep in mind that I run C/O's with the T C Kline custom spring perches up front......BUT there is no difference in ride quality, no sound issues, etc. What makes these plates worth every extra $ you spend on them is you don't lose Caster when you increase Camber..... I can run up to 4 degrees of Camber and still get 6-7 degrees of Caster.. Don't think you can easily switch these plates from a track/autocross setting to a Daily driver setting....Best off setting them up for the season and living with them :-) You'll have Toe issues to address............. I'm currently running 2.75 degrees of Neg Camber Front and 2 degrees rear..... Will be adding Camber to the fronts to decrease understeer because of my current Auto X setup with the softer rear springs... Anyone else want to chime in regarding this??? Regards, Steve 98M3/4 To many checkbook mods to list now... Is anyone running the TC Kline or Ground Control camber plates on their dual-use street/drivers' school car? Are the solid bearings destroying your shock towers or your kidneys? drew | 98M3/4 back from the body shop yesterday! ************************************************************* List Commands UNSUBSCRIBE - (in subject line) unsubscribes you from the mailing list. It needs to be slim to fit. Snap-On (about $32) makes a nice one alone with Stahlwille (and others I am not aware of). An alternative is a headset wrench (1 1/4" will work as well I believe) used on bicycles (about $15) or you can take a regular 32mm open end wrench and grind it slim (I recently did this with a Husky from Home Depot since they were clearing out some of their 32/36mm open end wrenches for $7.99. Yikes, Luis, thats too high! Consider that Steve will sell you great Brembo replacements for 60 bucks each....Even if you get lazy like I did, I just had my shop replace these in my fronts for 1.5 hrs each at about $70 per hour....So, if you go for all 4, that will cost you about 200 bucks labor, and 240 for the rotors for a total of $440...The = dealer is almost two times what you can get your qualified local shop to do. Just remember to get those Brembos! =20 --------------------------------------------------------- Paul Elliott '99 White M3; < 30K miles; Dinan stage II sc kit; Rotex pads; Steiger = SS and Clutch Stop; Sound by Polk, Excelon, JLAudio

For what its worth, here in the Westchester County part of New York, = you can get 'em at list. Not a penney over! Seems kind of crazy that some parts of the country are gouging by as much as $20k or more, and others are towing the line. Hi- Seeing Mel's original window sticker makes me want the one for my car too! How does one get a copy of the original window sticker for a 4 year old car? My seller did not have it (The car has changed hands several times since it was new according to a carfax.com report.) I got no paperwork from the seller other than the owner's manual, stereo manual, a booklet to record service done on the car, and a guide to BMW dealers (by state). Thanks for any info, Kevin M. If anyone is really interested in trying to get a new M3 in the next few months and you are not on a list. Call just about any dealer in the southeast US. I have talked to 5 different dealers and they have all said this. "If you really want a M3, show us the funds and we will have you a M3 at STICKER PRICE before the end of summer and most likely you can spec it too" Most dealers are having a very HIGH rate of folks dropping out of line due to the economy, stock market, etc. Alot of folks jumped on the list with high hopes of huge stock gains that never happened and hoping to sell their spot on EBay aswell. just a FYI for anyone really looking or about to pay above sticker for a car they can buy at sticker at most dealers. mike

These were very late production and IIRC, only about 100 were built as 1995 model years. I only was aware of this one since I installed a JC chip, JC Intake and Euro HFM on this one. Stupid Rich, the question asked "was an automatic available in the 1996 M3?" not 1995. Can't you read. My god boy, what is wrong with. Stop replying already if you have nothing better to add to the discussion. Lastly, we don't really care if your car is an auto or not so just shut up. So the poor bastard deserves those prices for being able to drive the ultimate driving machine in annual great weather! ...well, except for hurricane season. =) You ever go to a nice bit 'o paradise and get stuck with a POS rental and would give anything to have your baby with you?!??!? =) Just kidding, Luis! Next time you visit the states, grab 4 rotors, 4 sets of pads and go back home. =) Chester ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! The local police isn't as uptight as it is in the US. I always drive pretty hard, and have never been stopped or given a ticket. While in the city, you don't feel restrained to race every time you see a Boxter, S4, 3000 GT, 300 ZX, etc, or even a fellow M3. There are also a LOT of supercharged, turbocharged and otherwise modified Civics and Integras always willing to give you a run for your money. In addition, when I drive between cities, I can go at average cruising speeds of over 100 mph, often reaching the 150 mph mark (my car is sharked). And I don't go faster only because our highways aren't as wide and well-maintained as those in the US. Heck, if we had your highways, I could go at average cruising speeds of 125 mph all the time!
