Gotta love that! Jonathan L. >Part of what I wrote: > >Sounds like it's just 2 hoses that >need to be >replaced, yet I was told $365!! Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 09:58:06 -0700 From: Steven Tom <stom@qualcomm.com> Subject: Door seal problems I just got a rip in my drivers side door seal. I would normally let this go and not do anything about it but I can't roll my window up without it catching. Has anyone replaced this before? How hard is it to do? Is it as simple as pulling it out and putting a new one in. It looks like there is a complicated attachment point to the rear window. steve

Somebody on the list said the door seal alone was something like $100. I took a piece of scotch tape and put it over the tear. Window rolls up and down without catching now. Andrej '97 M3

(Yeah, it is hard to be enthusiastic about > Toyotas.) Obviously you've never drivien a last generation Supra modified to put out over 450hp at the wheels. A friend of mine has one. . the thrust is amazing. M3 content: I'm midway through 2 weeks in London, and have seen more fake M3's than I ever thought I would. There are several 318's with M3 bodywork and badging on them running around here. It's depressing. I've seen more Porsche 911 turbos than I ever thought I would in this town though considering the average speed in traffic appears to be about 15 mph. --Sean '98 M3/4 Anxiously waiting to get back to the US where I can drive

#8. WTB 1995 BMW M3 - from Geof McLaughlin

Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 13:30:11 -0400 From: Geof McLaughlin <gfmiiilist@usa.net> Subject: WTB 1995 BMW M3 I am looking to purchase a 1995 M3 for cheap money (preferably less than $17000). High mileage is OK (but preferably less than 100K), but no salvage titles. Car must be in good mechanical condition and reasonably good cosmetic condition. I prefer a stock, street driven car, but will consider everything except highly modified vehicles (e.g. supercharger, turbo, etc.). Prefer New England area (Massachusetts), but will travel for the right car. If anyone knows of a car that fits what I'm looking for and I ultimately purchase it, I am offering a $100 finder's fee. Please email with details at gfmiiishop@usa.net.

Is that what this is all about? You're probably just bitter that she didn't put out. oh and, it's not like you worked at BMW enginnering and helped create the pearl that is the M3, you simply choose from the possible production cars available in america. big deal. The woman you were wanting respect from could tell that you thought you should just get it because you pulled up in a BMW, women are much smarter than you are giving them credit for. ;-) right Suzy? oh, btw do you use sythetic or conventional oil?. ;-) cheers, Noah Paci - 95 M3 P.S. I couldn't resist any longer, I really wanted to join in the stoning of Luis. (sorry luis) P.S.P.S. Luis, you could try putting a whale tail and some flames on your car, you certainly have all the flames you need from this newsgroup. :-)

Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 13:56:05 -0500 From: Andrej Dolenc <adolenc@erols.com> Subject: Re[2]: [E36M3] Door seal problems Plain old Scotch magic tape, the kind you use for paper. The tear on my door molding isn't very big - horizontally tearing across the width of the molding, mebbe 1/2 inch tops. With the window closed the tear isn't exposed, the only problem I had with it was trying to raise the window it would catch under the tear. A little scotch tape to hold the tear together as the window raises is good enough for now. Andrej '97 M3 Steven Tom writes: > Scotch Tape?? electrical, duct, what grade?
