Here're my before and after results: corner my stock '96 Bilstein/Eibach LF 14.125" 13.875" RF 13.875" 13.75" LR 13.0" 12.625" RR 12.75" 12.5" I didn't trim the bumpstops. The last I checked, tire wear is pretty even. >The springs were bought from a fellow lister and were previously used but >appeared to be >in good shape - do these things sag over time? I had Bilsteins/Eibach on my E30 for 10 years and the ride height appears to be the same as when they were first installed, i.e., did not experience any more scraping 10 years later. Breasts, however, do sag if not properly supported ;-) Wen _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Reason being is that I am either going to put it in the car or I am going to have a custom bar built. I am not sure yet as I am going to meet with the guy this week about what to do. Make me an offer on this if you are interested. I need to see which one will be better for me. Seth Thomas www.m3ltw.com

I got a pretty good kick out of just how ridiculous it was. To sum it up... rx7 up against an eclipse. Neck and neck to 140mph, until the eclipse driver (while steering with one hand, lol) reaches over and hits some buttons on his laptop and then hits the go button on the steering wheel. Eclipse pulls ahead as the speedo climbs toward 160. Then the rx7 (also driving with one hand on the wheel at the 12:00 position of course) starts hitting switches on his center console. Then he catches up to the eclipse. At this point the passenger side floor pan falls out of the eclipse and 10mm nuts start flying along with some sparks. That's where they stopped the clip. Sorry for the lousy explanation, I guess you would have had to see it to fully appreciate the stupidity. I wish I could say that it didn't portray illegal street racing as cool but well.. it did. I think that the main point of the movie is that if you are cool and your sister is hot then you should be exempt from the laws of society and physics. Or maybe the movie was just about how chicks dig scrawny white guys with expensive cars ;-). Anyway, I kinda liked the movie. It was much better than Gone in 60 Seconds or Driven. Just don't send your kids unless they can separate reality from fiction. OBMWC - there weren't any BMW's in this movie.. -Matt --- Michael Lawrence <95m3ltw@home.com> wrote: > Date: Thu, 28 Jun 2001 13:22:27 -0400 > From: "Michael Lawrence" <95m3ltw@home.com> > Subject: Re: [E36M3] Fast and Furious > > I havent seen the movie yet, but I can imagine it > probably promotes street > racing or how romantic it is to put someone elses > life on the line racing on > the street. > > Anyone seen it and what is the theme, besides big > wings and go fast buttons? > > Mike __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thanks, Chester, but I have a set of MXX3s waiting to go on the M3, and UPS just delivered a set of tires for my 525iT. Are you ready to total the car, > have you taken all the necessary safety precations for when it does roll and > then hits a concrete wall? This is a great post, and everytime I see a wreck I remember that any of our "play time" can turn ugly really quickly. At my first school, an M3 chasing me and another student (also in an M3) made the same "two wheels in the dirt" mistake as this other driver and slammed into a wall at 90. This is why when me adrenaline gets up, and I _know_ that if I push a little more I can keep ahead of that S2000 about to pass me, I take a deep breath, back off, and let 'em go. When I see the cloud of dust and the S2000 facing me off the side of the track, I know I drove to my abilities and not to my ego's (true story, BTW). With everything that has been said about this however, when is it time to install a roll bar? Is it a certain frequency of events? A certain level you have reached in both your abilities and the groups you run with? As a novice who has already done 4 days of events this year, and plan on doing another 4-6, this is something I've had top of mind. I've watched a couple of cars wreck already. I am by no stretch of the imagination at 10/10ths out there, and I don't think I'm really doing events that frequently yet, but the whole concept of an accident is exactly that -- an accident. I know my wife would be ecstatic to see me drop in a roll bar, but when is it necessary or when are you simply going to look like a wannabe? How do you know that you've gotten to a point that a roll bar is something you really should be driving with? I'm really interested in people's thoughts... -peterg ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using HiSpeed Technologies Webmail. http://www.hispeed.com

At race wars, when they first pulled the camera across the parking lot from an arial perspective, there was an E36 3 series. Someone said there was a Dinan M3 in it, but they might have thought the E36 3 series was the Dinan M3 (it was black BTW) - reid
