The basic Service Interval cycle is: Oil Service Inspection I Oil Service Inspection II repeat... You didn't mention which year E36 M3 you had; for the '95 M3, the base mileage for each step in the cycle is 7500 miles. For a '96+, it's 10,000 miles. Particularly in light of the fact that this guy is a lawyer and should know better in my mind. I am surprised he has not been able to sell it since I thought the price was not that far out of line. Maybe he is preaching to the choir though. 95 M3 - Not for sale.

The Bentley is much more comprehensive, but sometimes Haynes has a usefully different take on an item. One criticism of the Bentley is they that usually just tell you what special $$$$$ factory tool you ought to be using, instead of suggesting a workaround for the private owner. Neil 96 M3

I've been hearing about a schrick cam, 24lb injector, CAI, euro HFM making 300 hp on 95 M3's. Conforti and Eurosport are going to be coming out with a similar setup for the OBDII cars. Has anyone tried the existing kit on their 95? What is the drivability, torque loss, smog passing? Anyone with dyno charts? To me this seems like a good alternative to artificial breathing. The 95 kit is ~$2300, I believe the 96+ kit should be similar. Seems like a fairly decent price for the power gain. I wonder why we don't here more about this kit. The only reason I can think of is the pain if it doesn't smog. steve PS: More suspension stuff. If you are interested, I just Eibach sways in my car. I haven't been able to test them out on twisties but I will write my impressions and installations to the board in a couple of days once I have a little more time with them.

There's absolutely no reason to buy new bars. They don't wear out, and there are lots of discarded stock M3 ones around. At the front new links (31 35 2 227 203) might be needed, since they do wear out. You could need mounting bushings (31 35 1 131 805) and possibly brackets (31 35 1 135 622) if your old ones are cracked. Stock rear really links (33 55 1 126 932) don't wear out. The bushings are (33 55 2 227 203) if you need them. Jack the rear of the car up as high as you can to get some working room, then install and remove from the muffler side.
